How do you get enough protein?

Anonymous
Trying to get to about 100g a day but also balance with good amount of fiber and not too much processed food. I am doing. A premier shake (30g) after my work out each day but don’t love eggs so won’t eat them daily. I don’t eat meat daily but will get amounts of chicken and lean fish when I do. I love cheese don’t care for yogurt. Other ideas?

No yogurt is tough. No fat plain yogurt is an easy protein rich food. Maybe another protein shake. Whey protein with low sugar - find one with 120-130cals and approx 25 G protein per serving.

Protein cheesecake. It doesn't taste like cheesecake but it's delicious.

Cottage cheese

If you don’t care for eggs, yogurt or meat it can be very limiting. If you really want to get to 100g/day I think you have to do multiple shakes or add protein powder to things.

Also a bowl of the higher protein Kashi cereals with milk is about 19g.

nuts
seeds
beans

I’ve heard that you can sprinkle nutritional yeast on your food for extra protein, but I’ve never actually tried it.

I don't get this trend to cram more protein into diets. It's not good for your kidneys. You don't actually need that much protein.

You are not limited in the amount of food you eat per day. You don't have to "balance". Eating an apple (fiber( doesn't mean you then can't have a hamburger (protein) for example.

I go to a dietician, and given my activity levels she has recommended 120-140 grams a day.

I often have a savory breakfast of cottage cheese with cajun seasoning or lemon pepper, and chopped tomatoes and cucumbers. That will get you 25 g.

How do you make this (not OP).

I rely on liquid eggs, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, fish or a lean meat at every meal.

What do you all do that necessitates all this protein?!?

If you're exercising intensively, please beware that you're wearing out your joints. You can attain a healthy cardiovascular system without joint wear.
