I am getting divorced and have developed feelings for my lawyer. He listens, he compliments me, he shares a lot of stories about his kids. I feel like it’s my safe space. He looks out for me. I find I am jealous of his wife. I see her picture on his desk and I know that I have a prettier face, though she’s thinner. My lawyer grew a bit of a beard, and it looked good on him, so I complimented him. Now he always has that stubble beard when I meet with him. Another time, he complimented my outfit, so I told him his blue suit made his blue eyes stand out. Since then, he’s worn blue every time. I know he’s married, so help me get over these feelings! |
| Sounds like the start of a bad romance novel. |
| Gross. |
| You are a paycheck to him. This is not a real relationship. |
| Lol. You're delulu and desperate for attention. |
| Lifetime movie! Get the popcorn ready! |
|
He’s married. Are you divorcing because you already cheated with another woman’s husband?
Or did your husband cheat? It sounds like you want to punish a woman you don’t know to make yourself feel better about the demise of your own marriage and for a self-esteem boost “look at me, I can get a married man to bang me. I must be so desirable” Get a hold of yourself and stop flirting |
| Cut the chatter as he bills by the hour. |
| I know some divorce attorneys who trade services for companionship. Highly unethical, but those going through divorce are vulnerable. |
| It happened to Charlotte York, it could happen to you! |
Ha! My thoughts. Total divorce lawyer snake, flirting and billing her for the time. |
| It's possible that he is a real innovator, a la the Will Ferrell character in "Wedding Crashers", who found that crashing funerals was an easier way to get women in bed. |
Not an attorney, but couldn’t you get disbarred for that? Also, I heard there were some rumors about Casey Anthony’s lawyer accepting that as payment during her murder trial. |
This. My goodness woman listen to yourself. |
Yes. Probably not disbarred for one instance, but disciplined, yes. It's an ethics violation. |
