No budget but we usually spend 30-60K. No kids yet so this is for 2 people (+ we rent a ski house for our extended families around the holidays), usually not business class, going to many destination weddings, ski trips, impromptu international travel with lots of remote work flexibility. |

Family of 4 Travel budget 60k We ski, do 1 international trip to family, maybe 1 weekend getaway, and other shorter trips to family nearby. Pretty boring, but we dont have time (or money) for more. |

Travel budget is around 20K. Some years more, some less. 2024 was probably closer to 10K because we did shorter and less expensive trips and then 2 big trips that parents insisted on paying for (one DHs parents and one my mom). 2025 is shaping up to be closer to 25K. |

My transportation budget outside of traveling for work is about $85 / mo. for gas.
For travel, I budget $15,000 a year for family vacation, $2500 for visiting family, $1k a year for a couples trip, and $1k a year for a girls’ wknd HHI appx $400,000 |

| I prioritize travel too but don’t make a ton of money so I set aside $2k and take $15k-$20k worth of vacations on credit card points and airline miles. I haven’t paid for a hotel in about five years and I take trips about every other month. Most recent was a cruise (free with points) with flights and pre-cruise hotel also free with points. Spent under $500 total for bar expenses on the cruise and ground transportation. The credit card game is my part time hobby. |

| We don’t have a travel budget but international trips cost us $25-40,000 per year and domestic travel, mostly air, costs us another $15,000. We are retired but we still have a high income. Our travel expenses are far higher now then when we were working. |
