Travel budget annually

Don't really have a budget, but EU trips for two for 10 days always come under $5k.
US trips are under $2k.
HHI $60k, but money comes from investments.

Oh boy, I spend far too much of our income on travel.

This is for 2 adults, no kids, HHI $200k.
I don't technically have a budget, but we definitely spend $20-30k. I'm more of a "lets check the credit card after" type of traveller lol. We only do 1-2 extravagant trips per year, but take every opportunity we can to travel the rest of the time. I get much more vacation time than DH so we try to maximize his time off around holidays and long weekends.

I'm glad we got rid of our second home, much to my spouse's disappointment. Freed us from another mortgage so we can save more and travel.

Travel is usually between $8k to $20K.

HHI was $300K. Spouse just retired at 60. So we're down to $170k. And yea, they wanted to keep the vacation home and be able to retire early. I told spouse that wasn't happening. Pick one or the other. This was many many years ago.

I haven’t paid for a hotel in about five years and I take trips about every other month. Most recent was a cruise (free with points) with flights and pre-cruise hotel also free with points. Spent under $500 total for bar expenses on the cruise and ground transportation. The credit card game is my part time hobby.

Wow this is awesome. How do you do that? Could you share your tactics?

Also prioritize travel. HHI currently about $200K and this year will probably spend $30K. We do some CC churning to help the cost.

I churn credit cards. Wait for high sign up bonuses, open cards, earn the bonuses through buying things I’d be buying anyway. Table the card for a year or two and open other cards. Most allow new signup bonuses every 24-48 months. Accrue points and use those points for travel. Bonus if you are eligible for business cards or have a partner who is also willing to partake in the hobby. It can be a part time job though, keeping track of all the cards, which ones to close and when, and which is the next one you want to open.
