Do you wash your face with soap (of any type) twice a day? Once a day?

Or do you wash your face with just water?

I did not realize some people do not use a soap product to cleanse their face each day. I was watching a back to school vlog and the mother used just water to rinse the child’s face in the morning.

I remember to do this once or twice a week?

I'm sure my skin could look better. Oh well.

The less product, the better.

You're stripping protective oils off your face, which will make your face dry and need lotions and creams. The cosmetic industry brainwashes women to believe they need skincare routines with tons of products, but really, if you don't hurt your skin in the first place, you don't need most products.

Obviously, there are exceptions and skincare has to adjust depending on your skin type, age and seasonally-variable climate.

The oils are not protective, they are buildup. Per the logic of your post we should never shower.

Best to use a soap everyday, with a washcloth to scrub off dead skin, and then moisturize ans protect from elements with a non comedegenic moisturizer.

Soap at least once a day, sometimes 2.

Lol. The 1980s teen magazine wants its skincare column back.

At the end of the day you need to use soap. Sunscreen/makeup needs to be washed off, also just sweat and grime from the day.

In the morning, you not need soap, just splash some water and move along.

In the morning I do not. I spritz rose water on. In the evening I use a rice foaming face wash.

Nope. 42, rarely wear makeup and have great skin. Now that I wear sunscreen daily, I try to remember to wash it off at the end of the day but I usually forget.

Skin hasn't changed since then. Sometimes I think we need magazines back because now people just make things up.

I used to be a solid once a day wash. I could just never get into washing at night, tbh, but definitely in the morning.

After I had kids, in my late 30s, my skin changed entirely. I don't wash my face every day - just water. It's amazing.

+1. Face wash at night (not "soap" like Ivory, but a cleanser) and a wet washcloth in the morning. I do a gentle wipe/scrub with the washcloth and not just a splash with wet hands.

I use cleanser twice a day. Night to wash off sunscreen, makeup, etc, and then in the AM I wash off my retinol or whatever potion I put on the previous night.
