You are misleading. You can say for U12/U13/U14, DA is first team, Red is second team (in CCL) and White is third team (in CCL2). |
No on the boys side DA is DA, CCL is still called Red and CCL2 White. The players just move up but the team is staying the same. |
No the league appears to be growing and adding more clubs. It'll probably bring over more VPL clubs or other strong/large clubs not currently in either league. |
CCL2 hasn't added any teams |
Those look like 3rd/4th teams. |
Correct that they haven't yet added any this year but last year it added NVSC and SYC. SYC will likely go CCL and CCL2 this upcoming year. CCL just added VA Rush. Looks like growth of the overall league as previously mentioned. There could be a future announcement to a new club joining as it's still early. I don't have any insight, just that it could still happen. |
My kid is on a good CCL/CCL2 2nd team, I'd much rather be in NCSL for the competition. |
I don't know if competition is better unless in D1 or D2, even then... I think what is a little nicer is the variety. |
How do you find out the teams in NCSL for the spring? |
The VA Rush press release said they were going to play in CCL, CCL2 and Pro23 |

Hilarious. We were at bryc last year and got a huge song and dance about how games and being in a league wasn't important for development blah blah blah And now here they are in NCSL...I guess their scrimmage league tanked. |
Surprised by the number of PWSI Pride, RWFC, and VISTA teams, which are essentially parent volunteer led teams. Glad to see more parents going the independent route. |
NCSL will announce its tentative division structure for the Spring Season on February 25th. Check on their website then.

Totally agree. Their website is a train wreck-I was more confused after looking at it. |
