Dems need to hammer them on this. Also, the 50M to Greenland's polar bears when starving kids are dying because they couldn't get USAID food.

Are you saying Dems caused the shutdown?

No, Mike Johnson caused the shutdown by refusing to negotiate at all. Democrats had a chance to avert it but decided the role of the Senate is not to be a rubber stamp for Mike Johnson.

Argentina actually received a 49 billion dollar bailout, courtesy of Trump and company. In April, Trump pressured the IMF to give Argentina 20 billion dollars. Now the USA is directly bailing Argentina out with an additional 20 billion dollars. All because Melie came to the USA, screaming as he handed Musk/Trump a chainsaw.

And how much was spent by Republicans last week at the NRSC’s fall meeting?

I like how you recognize that the Senate exists but act they are obligated to approve anything the House sends their way. Maybe, just maybe, the House should be back in Washington negotiating something that actually could pass the Senate.

There was nothing to negotiate. It’s a clean CR.

Schumer believes the shut down is good for “his side.” Hopefully voters will prove him wrong next year.

Senate is out till Tuesday.
House is out indefinitely.
Proves how much GOP takes governing seriously.

The house isn't in session because Mike Johnson doesn't want to seat Adelita Grijalva because he doesn't want the discharge petition to pass. Maybe Mike Johnson should stop supporting pedophiles and start supporting the American people.

Schumer voted for the clean CR in March but is voting against this one. Why is that? Because in between the "Big Beautiful Bill" passed without the support of 60 senators, making health insurance much more expensive for millions of Americans. This is Schumer's only chance to undo that damage before open enrollment starts next month.

BBB didn't make anything more expensive. Obamacare did that all on its own. The only thing is the temporary covid subsidies are expiring. BBB had nothing to do with that.

There are Medicaid cuts in the BBB that have nothing to do with the ACA.

Yes, and Democrats do want to restore that as well in their bill. Can't let illegals be denied Medicaid.
