Again, I also don't believe the story, but if you're driving from Herndon to the national zoo, it's going to take you at least an hour. The earlier you leave, the better the traffic. I would definitely leave as early as possible and just take my kid to Starbucks for 30 minutes in order to avoid sitting in traffic for 90 minutes rather than 60 minutes.

If you roll up on Conn Ave at exactly 9:28 you can park on the street right across from the entrance. But the buses know this too so you have to be right on time.

It's just a lot easier to park at the zoo, why can't you understand this?

Guys, it wasn’t even a consideration because we all know they were never going to get to the zoo.

Sincerely trying to be objective here but this makes no sense to me. BB already had Ryan incapacitated, but he told AP to go get his (other?) gun from the safe, which she would have access to and be able to open? Why would there be any need for both of them, one of them presumably with little to no firearm experience, to have guns drawn on an already-shot JR?

I’m hoping this claim is a relatively straightforward and compelling way to disassemble the defense. Blood splatter could instantly discount that story.

Exactly. BB, with trained firearm experience, recognizes someone as a lethal threat and acts accordingly, but needs assistance from a 23 yo with no firearm experience who has to go retrieve a securely stored weapon to finish the job? Ludicrous.

If he already shot JR once, then he had a firearm on his person. Why, then, did he tell AP to go get another firearm?

If she also had legal liability may be more likely to keep mouth shut.

Think Robert Wone, 3 men in home, 3 stab wounds, none has ever confessed or flipped.

Does anybody know how tall CB was?

I am a previous poster who was friends with Joe Ryan and know that he was well over 6".

It will be interesting to see the angle of the knife wounds on CB.

Pretty short, in some of the fitness stuff on her IG she said, I think maybe @ 5'?

After the stories came out after the hearing I imagine he and the little girl are ever more isolated on weekends. I hope she is safe.

Financial angle/loss of retirement bennies would be greater for him, I imagine, thus a prime motive. Given his potential salary at retirement, his pension would amount to a nice figure. Also consider the fact that many feds retire with $1 million plus in their TSP accounts. She would most likely be allotted half if they were to divorce based on his infidelity.

I can't speak to nurses and pensions, but I gather that he was the one who had more to lose financially in a divorce.

If he's not convicted, unless she named another beneficiary, he gets it ALL, no? Plus any life insurance?

Lots of unknowns here. looks like a lot of their nw is tied up in the home. I believe the spouses claim to the annuity is a function of the time in service and the time they are married.

I've read most of what has been written about this case. Several people that knew the people involved and have written about their experiences. I get the impression that CB was pretty awesome. I get the impression that JR was a quirky, but decent man. The AP seems to have some negative reporting from whatsap group chat.

Someone alleged that BB was a thief. Someone said BB was a cheater. It certainly doesn't mean anything that no one has posted in BB's defense, but it is interesting to me.

I've yet to see anyone talk about BB in a positive way except CB and AP and AP just wanted his money and was psycho. She may have been jealous of a preschooler who just lost her Mom, at the hands of AP and BB. Birds of a feather as they say...

Her story and that of the state seem irreconcilable in key respects. Maybe she is a loon.
