But don't you only need 1 MAGA to call for a new vote for house speaker so that could bring things to a screeching halt?

Won’t happen. MAGA will scream about it but know if they oust KM it just makes them look more incompetent. It’s not like they have a replacement.

The dems will support McCarthy for any vote that ensure this agreement gets through the House. After that, who cares, let the GOP infight fr the next two years, and if that means the Ag bill gets put on hold, then only the GOP is to blame.

Needs to happen during regular order. If they are in the midst of debating and voting on the debt ceiling bill, you can’t just ask for a leadership vote. There are parliamentary rules.

Rules are for the woke mob!

Republicans keep jousting at this windmill, and they keep losing. Because the average American knows that you can't walk out of the restaurant without paying the check.

Can someone tell me the quick and dirty answer - is this latest deal anticipated to pass congress? I'm just hoping not to hear the words "debt ceiling" for a couple years, plus the market is stalling until the deal is finalized.

Is an end in sight?

Democrats will put provide enough votes if Republicans don’t add a dealbreaker amendment in the House.

Yes. But some of the more notorious media hound Senators will cause a fuss for a day or two after it gets through the House.

It was never a question. This was just for show. This debt ceiling “crisis” will be forgotten about by Friday. The markets have moved on and are not paying attention to this.

Kevin should be impeach, he should resign. This isn't a win for us.

Aware it's for show, but honestly sick of it.

Stock market is definitely sitting low until the debt ceiling deal is finalized

Let’s be clear who the clowns are:GOP. Democrats wanted a clear bill but MAGA needed to make a fuss and put us through this mess.

Elect clowns, expect a circus.

At some point we have to let the elected clowns do their thing. There has to be consequences for voting republican.

KM needed Dem votes to get this to a vote. What a loser. Speaker Jefferies sounds pretty good!
