"All Gender Bathrooms"

How exactly do these work for a 'normal' girl- she is straight, not confused about her gender identity at all and conventionally modest. She isn't interested in sharing a dressing room, shower stall, or row of toilets a la Marine barracks style with random guys or lesbians.

Late 90s slac- we had coed dorms with shared bathrooms

There is never a need to undress or use the bathroom with anyone watching. All gender bathrooms will have stalls and individual dressing rooms and individual showers with doors.

I went to a school with shared coed bathrooms, except for showers, two decades ago. It wasn't a big deal.

Most "all gender" bathrooms at my kid's universities are:

A) Single bathroom, go in lock the door, do your business, exit and next person enters
or
B)
Larger bathroom with toilet stalls, individual shower stalls (behind doors) and row of sinks.
Have yet to see "rows of shower stalls ala marine barracks style

You mean like... bathrooms in your home? Or perhaps an airplane? Or starbucks?

DC's school had this - it was not a big deal at all.

Maybe not-freshman year in 1991, we had coed bathrooms. So yes, showered in a stall next to guys, peed in a stall next to guys, washed my hands at the sink next to guys who had just used the urinal. I don’t know if no one cared, but no one lives off our floor so I guess that must mean something.

This. It's not a camp shower. It's either a set of single bathrooms, or a room with private stalls.

I didn't watch Ally McBeal but didn't they have this?

I'll add that the showers WERE a bunch of showerheads in a big room separated by plastic curtains; that part was much worse than using a stall next to someone of the opposite sex.

The best way to get your question answered is to ask the other students at the school what it's like etc. We don't know.

Get her a nice, thick robe. She'll be fine.

The entire time I was in college, nobody saw me naked unless I specifically wanted them to. I lived in corridor style dorms where I had to walk down the hallway to the bathrooms, and then inside the bathroom, there was a toilet section with stalls, shower section (with stalls) and sink section. I just wore a bathrobe and it was a non-issue.
