I agree with Dr Laura.

African Americans are hyper sensitive and seem to be trying to seek out racism. There is a lot of self segregation. Every few months CNN jeeps running black in America. We get it. And how does one race have monopoly over a word. It's either offensive or it's not. Period. Personally I don't think all blacks think lie this but the establishment tries to keep people divided. A black partner at my firm makes a boatload of $ lives in Potomac and still considers herself "oppressed". She's invent top1% of all people in this planet yet she's oppressed.

Thank God -- finally someone understands how all of us feel! Would you like to be our official spokesperson?

I'm white and you're racist.

BOO-YEA! (Yea, I said it...)

You're patronizing attitude belies your general sense of superiority over others. Who are you to say how folks should feel? You can say whatever the hell you want. But if people are offended by it, they are offended by it. If folks of color are more offended by certain people more than others, that is a legitimate feeling that you shouldn't feel entitled to tromp all over. Black folks will decide how they fell all on their own, without any hope from you. You don't have to agree with it and are entitled to agree with a hate-spewing woman all you want, but I doubt you'd go so far as to say any of that to a person of color's face. The anonymity of the internet is grand, ain't it?

The title of your post pretty much says it all: you're an idiot. Oh, and while I"m at it: racist. But unfortunately a huge part of the American population still is. Just not of the "let's-hunt-them-and-hang-them" variety anymore. A little more subtle, with the stereotypes now, but it's still there.

Oh, and I'm white. But not American, so I wasn't raised with your stereotypes.

Dr. Laura wants to make money, and does so by pandering to the lowest common denominator: OP.

Like PP said, it's more of the subtle everyday prejudice that some people face. Think Chris Rock said something to the effect that even though he's rich and famous, most white people still wouldn't want to be him.

Well put.

Perhaps worst of all, OP is illiterate. Which? Kind of makes sense.

Acutally the reason for all the typos was because I was typing on my smartphone that uses suretype and mixes up the words.

So the metric for determining a racist is: if they question a double standard? Really?

OP don't listen to the haters. They can't be bothered to think outside their own context. Thank you for saying what so many are thinking.

Guess what? You're racist too! Congratulations. Yes, there are a lot of you out there.

Many black people feel that the word is offensive and inappropriate regardless of the race of the person who uses it. We do not want to hear it from anyone in any context.

And many people find it offensive to have to say "the N word" instead of the word we are talking about. Even while you find hearing the word makes you uncomfortable, surely you would differentiate between its use in a discussion of language and its use as an epithet, no?

A. Many blacks are offended by the word, and they don't want anyone black or white to use it. So you can side with them.

B. It is common for groups that face discrimination to co-opt derogatory terms in order to neutralize them. This is why some gays use the term "Queer" and yet you should definitely not. It says "You can't make me feel bad about who I am by using a slur, and I am proving it by using the word as a point of pride". The problem for you is, you can't use it in this way. You are of the other persuasion, so you can only use it in its original meaning.

Neither A. nor B. is above your level of intelligence. Either you are being argumentative just to have fun, or you really don't understand.

If you really don't understand, you need to take a hard look at yourself. Seriously. You have a blind spot when it comes to discrimination.
