Swim Skirts

I’m at the pool a lot with my kids. Hate shaving bikini line every day. Any recommendations for cute non-grandma looking swim skirt options so I don’t need to shave daily? I’m size 12 and busty if that matters..I purchased one from athleta but looking for other options.

No skirt recs, but you can now get bike short swim bottoms that are fantastic. I have these and really like them - there's lots of other options out there now, too:

Board shorts are MUCH better than swim skirts in how they function and look. Title 9 and Lands End have good optioks.

+1 they look sooooo much better than the skirts, which always came across as very Grandma to me.

Seconding Summersalt, I have one from there that I like.

I also have swim shorts from Lands End and I don't like them because they are bulky. The Summersalt skirt is made of swimsuit material and I just put it on over my one piece. It dries quickly.

Oh wow, I think board shorts look worse - they drip, drip, drip and look so bad when they cling to your butt and show your wedgie. They are really meant to be worn as cover ups, not while swimming.

How does a swim skirt solve the bikini line issue? The skirts are short and your bikini line will still be visible when you move around in it.

I have a swimsuit from Andie with good rear coverage and find I don't have to shave as close when I wear it. Obviously in front everything must be shaved/trimmed, but good butt coverage means I don't have to take as much time to get everything underneath. I can shavey bikini line in front with a good sharp razor in a few minutes-- hardly takes much more time than my legs.

I have a swim skirt that is long enough that I can walk in public no problem. I hate shaving down there. I know mine is grandma esque, but look into swim shorts. Try some on to pick the right length. When I was younger I would wear those and they just look like shorts the girls wear now

How are these different from regular running type shorts? They appear to be the same fabric and a similar cut. Why not just wear running shorts over your regular swimsuit?
