NJ mayor who is running for Congress, opposed hiring Jews

the context is what has happened in other school districts like in rockland county. the jews all vote en bloc, they put a bunch of jewish people on the school board and completely defund the public schools and funnel money to private schools (their kids go to private religious school). Its absolutely horrifying and i don't blame this guy for not wanting it in his town.

for the previous poster asking for proof. it would be horrifying for you if you bought a house there and were trying to send your kids to public schools that had been completely defunded by these radicals.

Nobody is stating what’s actually happening. The majority in the county do not send their kids to public schools which they have every right to do. This has caused school funding to decline. Additionally they vote not to raise property taxes to make up for the deficits due to the high private school enrollment.

These ppl were roughly 30% of the population at the time. Where were the voters?

+1 Sounds like "snooze, you lose". The Hasidics didn't like what was going on so they got involved, ran for school board seats, rallied their people to vote and got in. The majority of them are poor to low MC. Others can do the same.

Indeed. A group of segregationist religious fundamentalists moved there en masse and took over local politics. They then embarked on a series of hostile bureaucratic acts against the previous inhabitants designed to push them out and make it unattractive for secularists to live there.

Public funded segregated buses in 21st Century America. Does anything else really need to be said.

It’s hostile to not want higher property taxes? You’re a segregationist if you send your kid to private school? How many DCUM parents are sending their kids to DC public schools?

Wow. This is crazy. Do we fund religious schools like this in other states? I thought federal taxes didn’t go to religious education. Also, the funding should stop if they are underperforming, especially when that money has been siphoned from public schools. These parents should be jailed for not sending kids to school, along with Christians who do the same.
