This is cute but for a nickname.

All cute, but as nicknames.

What do you plan to use as the real name?

Phillippa? Piper?

Calliope? (I knew a Greek girl with that name who went by Polly.) Why not just use Molly?

No clue what to use for Poppy. Persephone?

My friend just named her chocolate Labrador Poppy.

Those are all nicknames.

DP. I feel this way about all three, but since that appears to be OP's style I vote Poppy as well. Pippa still has a bit of a "up at 2am glued to the Royal wedding" vibe to me.

Poppy is my favorite, then Pippa, then Polly. I think they could all be cute and like how friendly they all sound. My own kid's name is Allison but she goes but Sunny almost exclusively and I honestly think people often like her immediately because her name is so friendly. So I support names like this!

I do think it's nice to have a longer, more formal name with a name like this, just in case you wind up with a more serious kid and also to give them some professional options later in life (though I actually love it when very accomplished people have bright, sweet names). She might appreciate having an option, even if she never uses it.

So I might look at some longform names that work with these as nicknames to see if any speak to you. Penelope? Pauline/Paulina? Phillipa? Philippine?

Poppy is the worst, then pippa then polly

I like Pippa with Philippa as the formal name.

Do you like any other names?

I like your options OP but here are some others in the same vibe that start with P:

Pearl
Penny
Phoebe

Also Piper and Paige but while they are not as popular recently I think they were so common about 10 years ago that I might steer clear for a while.

Poppy sounds like puppy
Pippa sounds like pippy long stocking
Polly wants a cracker

We're not using a longer name. We're fine with what you consider a nickname (or a dog's name) being the full name. We considered Phoebe for a while also but ultimately took it off the list.

You're kidding right? Those aren't really under consideration. If so, you forgot Larla.

Or Peppa.

They're horrendous, unless you're naming your dog. I have a friend who has a Pippa the Pug. A lab named Polly.

God forbid you use an actual name.
