Do you call posters bots every time you are unable to answer the question? |
Oh, do I want to humor a bot’s attempt to derail a thread, or otherwise cause confusion, which is a known propaganda technique? Not really. Rather than whataboutism I’d like to focus on the fact that Russia illegally invaded Ukraine and America is doing a great job helping Ukraine, as it should with this great injustice. Start another thread lil guy for whatever dumb sht you want to talk about. |
I live in DC, 1.5 miles from the Capitol, 2.5 miles from the White House, and 3 miles from the Pentagon. I'm not scared in the least. If we get nuked, we get nuked. I won't feel it. It will be worse for others, especially Russia, because they will not likely be able to stop our nuclear attack subs and other assets. |
I was worried about this when the war started. It after seeing Russias military there is no way in hell over 10% of their nukes work. Of the 10% I am confident they would be shot down or miss their target entirely. I live 2 miles from the pentagon which is target #1. Not worried at all. |
I think "firehose of misinformation" is okay, but a bit meh. Some good points were hit but I disagree with the assessment that you can't counter using truth. I once had a Russian propaganda troll so livid, he communicated a threat on a blog - a very image-laden threat. You have to understand that some Russian history or versions of events are either not taught or taught in an 'alternative reality' version. An example is Stalin's holodomor, or when the same Russian state TV propagandist contradicts themselves and you play the videos side-by-side. If you lay it out in a rationale sequence that supports your assertion, the ones who are the most heavily brainwashed eventually lose grip. If you're looking for a really good take on the Soviet thinking style, I haven't seen anything better than Yuri Bezmenov's videos and book, even though it's old. It seems to explain everything that's been going on in the US lately. Highly encourage everyone to watch / read his work. |
You assume there would be a counterattack. |
|
Russia may not even get to launch a counter attack. Once the US hits a certain level of confidence of a launch we would take out their subs first and launch preemptively in hopes of limiting what gets air borne from them. |
If that’s what the topic is, then YOU stay on topic. Don’t bring up silly things like “international order”, UN, the existential conflict between democracies and dictatorships, the evils of invasions in general etc. Because these are easily refuted. And I think you’ve turned off enough posters with your bully-like screams about bots every time someone brings up an inconvenient but factual objection. You’re just not going to be able to bully everyone into agreeing with you on all points. |
Lol right. You’re the only one with truth, capital T. Everyone else is a bot or a Fox viewer. |
That is not the subject of this thread. The subject is "Ukrainian victory over Russia is inevitable" nor "Why ira foos to support Ukraine". You cannot analyze Ukraine's potential victory in a vacuum without reference to the history of Russia and European countries. You also cannot avoid the conversation about how Russian propaganda allows millions of invaders into US while we spend zero dollars to defend ourselves. |
|
It might help to support your argument that Russia is sending billions of migrants to our border.
Not that I think it’s impossible ( maybe not Billions) but some receipts would help. |
|
* also we spend BILLIONS AT OUR BORDER.
Literally billions. |
We do. But we spent those billions go bring the migrants to US, not to protect US borders from illegal entries. |
^ oh, the Russian bot knows how to bluster. That’s darkly conical considering the Russian casualties shown in Ukraine thus far and everything else that is viewable in real time about Russia’s!military capabilities. Putin seems to be all hat and no cowboy. Constantly making outlandish claims and “red lines”. Basically, Russia is a backwater, fillled with demoralized regiments of drunken soldiers, with an aging arsenal, who are getting bogged down in Ukraine. The soldiers don’t really want to be there. So a fking mercenary group comprised of prisoners was brought in to be meat for the grinder. It’s disgusting and sad. What’s worse are dunning-kruger, weakling posters here advocating that America should not stand up and do the right thing in this case, which is standing by Ukraine. |
