It's seriously embarrassing to see a bunch of grown women going "boys like me better so I'M better". I hope they don't have daughters. |
| I hope all these tall men who marry short women have short sons. (not really— but I’m feeling very “manly” and unattractive reading this discussion, at 5’10”). |
We do, (well, they are average) but I guess DH didn't mind. If it makes you feel any better, I feel like a troll. I always tell my kids that being average size is fine. The world is made for average sized people. Tall DH (over 6') has a hard time in many situations. -signed 4'11" |
We very tall and very short women should unite against the average-sized people!!! We are special!!!

. . . or sons. I have only boys and certainly don't want them to have the mistaken impression that female worth is determined through the male gaze. |
So true. Then they have short sons and they panic and ask for growth hormones because women don't want to marry short men. |
|
When did anyone do that? stating a fact of people's preference does not mean youre saying you're better... that's YOUR judgement of "make attention makes you better" seeping in. Get some therapy. |
This is typically the case. I know lots of families with tall dads / short moms and they all have tall daughters like dad and short sons like mom. My two closest friends are half-Asians, tall and muscular, and they grew up being borderline verbally abused by their own families. One stopped going to church because every older woman was commenting on her body and she's only 5'9 and maybe size 8. |

Yea.. it's turning out to be the case for us. We are the exact combo as above. Eldest boy seems to take after the mom, and eldest girl takes after the dad. |
Hmmmm. I'm 5'11" and my husband is 5 '8". My adult daughter is 5'2" and my son is 6 '3". Maybe height goes from mother to son and from father to daughter. I wouldn't have cared if their heights were reversed. Being so hung up on height is ridiculous. |
