Well DUH! Of course. Is it even really a debate when both people are part of the same party? By definition, yes there ideas and values are going to align so not much of a debate more so who can say the same things differently the most times.

It doesn't change the fact that MK is way too interested in edu speak. She doesn't want to make any changes, she just wants to be on the Board. She will likely got a few meetings, find out it's actually work and than "wow! AEM doesn't represent the majority of parents?! How can that be??? You mean there are parents in APS with complaints that don't belong to AEM. Who knew????"

You are conflating candidates. If MK speaks in edu-speak it's because it's her line of work and experience. She's been active in APS in a range of ways for literally years. Prior to this year, MT likely had never watched a SB meeting, been part of a committee, or followed an issue. And oh yeah, pulled her kid to private when she wasn't happy. Not a candidate committed long-term to APS.

That's not true, she was involved in the 2008 boundary discussions and wrote/was quoted in ARLNow. I am not going to vote for her and think she is presenting very little this time but this isn't her first time getting involved.

We must have watched a different debate. They are different on RTS obviously. But the only thing I heard them really agree on was APS’s approach to literacy. Kadera is pro concurrent and virtual programs tied to each school. Turner is not. Kadera is mealy mouthed about advanced math initiative. Turner is not. It goes on and on.

I met Miranda at a school board meeting years ago. She showed up and was nursing her baby that was practically a newborn. She been an active speaker and advocate in APS.

Kadera is NOT pro concurrent.

You are mixing them up. Kadera specifically said she is NOT pro concurrent. And she wrote about this as well.

Turner doesn't know anything about the math initiative. Said she would have to learn more. Mary was able to speak about it intelligently.

My friend in another state just posted pics of her two kids just going back in-person (hybrid) for the first time TODAY.

Months after APS.

It was a typo, it was actually 2017. I still don't like her (disagreed with her position then) but she has been involved

How was MT “involved” in 2017? Anything beyond complaining?

Has she done anything other than complain this year?

The list of supporters on MT's website is... interesting.

No one prominent but a lot of APE members.

and the APE school voucher guy is listed as a supporter.

Wonder if Miranda is for school vouchers?
