Sidwell or St. Albans for 9th?

Not class of 2025, but our son is very happy there. We’re not cc members—no interest. Some families do the cc thing, but it never struck me as something that matters to the boys, who spend most of their time at school.

There’s always smack here about STA pandemic response vs Sidwell but never is it mentioned that when STA was in person, US was not attending full days but SFS US in person are full days that included highly compressed classes so more time covered in two days than a normal year.

Sidwell is so awesome they’ve mastered the ability to manipulate time?

This is not true about SFS. They are still in hybrid mode with only 50% of students returning. "highly compressed" really?

If Sidwell can cover in one day during the pandemic what took two days normally, how is Sidwell considered to be rigorous and why are students so stressed?

Both great schools but Sidwell gives way too much homework. Friends with kids in 1st grade complain it’s an hour a night at a young age. Hours of work per day for Upperschool more than STA which is also rigorous. Seems unnecessary.

First graders are not getting an hour of homework a night, unless it is something like doing a whole diarama the night before it is due.

Incorrect. 90% of Sidwell students are currently back on campus. After spring break it will be 97%

Reading is fundamental. The PP spoke in past tense regarding the "highly compressed" classes. You are speaking of the future. As I said, this is not true.

Please cite the "90%." The schooling preference was due on Wed and results have not been released. Such bullshit on here.

Fake news. This may be the case for those taking accelerated courses in US however, not the rule.
