| I used to work nights and was home for dinner daily. How are you not home for dinner? Eat dinner at 530 |
| OP what do you eat for dinner? |
| I don't know if this helps, but Rachel Ray's 30 minute meals got me cooking for my family. I had twins who were premature and had medical issues and once people stopped bringing food, I happened upon one of her shows and tried to make the meal during my kids nap. Those shows/videos helped me so much. i don't know if it will work for your wife op but Rachel Ray breaks it down so it's easy. |
Yikes. So much misogyny here. You are nutty bananas. She’s home all day with small children. She IS working. She’s likely exhausted by the end of the day. Cooking can be a shared task.
|
The wife is lazy. And that's why she's fat and doesn't exercise. This isn't about gender but about personality differences. |
Agree. I would expect a SAHD to make meals too during the week. If she is staying home all damn day, as a SAHM and with the literally with the pandemic, there is no reason at all to not be able to put together something something better than a drive-thru McD happy meal. Have a tough day with the kids and are totally exhausted? Then you make scrambled eggs or a bowl of non-sugar cereal. This isn’t hard. |
|
Yep. And you’re a judgmental person of low empathy. It’s a “personality difference.” |
Oh, yea. You’re the low-class person constantly trashing her MIL on a food forum. Try family counseling. |
| OP again. Some of you ask what I have for dinner. I fix something for myself at home before going to work. It can be tuna salad or a roast chicken sandwich but my wife won't eat the same foods. We can have half a rotisserie chicken in the fridge but she'll still get nuggets at McDonald's. It defies logic and she's also a very picky eater. For example, she won't eat fish or avocado even though these are healthy food items. We have two fridges in our house and a lot of food gets wasted because she won't cook them. I do the grocery shopping but it doesn't seem to be helping because she's not actually making anything with the groceries I buy. |
Because he works the night shift while his wife sits on her FAT ASS retired with her thumb up her butt. I'm also a SAHM and it is my JOB to nourish my family with healthy meals foe growing bodies while my DH works to put a roof over our heads. Do you people have no work ethic? Does this man have to wipe her fat ass too? |
OMG cry me a river. Boo hoo. You want to know exhausted?? Try shift work. Try working nights. Try trying to sleep in broad daylight with kids screaming running all over the house. Try bring nocturnal against your very biology. This SAHM would not only be cooking a nice meal, but she should be packing this guys lunch. Not sure though how retired military ended up so fat and lazy. That part of the story is a mystery to me. |
Could you possibly do some meal prep together on the weekends? Costco sells good size disposable containers that are microwave and dishwasher are. You could prep healthy meats, fruits and veggies for the week and help her get started on a healthy habit. Maybe showing her how to do it and making it a joint activity can help her get out of her rut. |
| Jesus Christ people this woman seems to be suffering from massive depression. OP, try encouraging her to make an appointment with a mental health professional. You may even have to do it for her. |
You married an obese person expecting them to make healthy food choices? lol |
