Trump done f#cked up.

They were fools. Biden has the same tools as Trump to use against the pandemic. Plus Trump already got the vaccines done. The only thing Biden can do differently is ask people to "pretty please, wear a mask."

National lock-down? Good luck with that. There is no Constitutional authority for that, and if Dems argue to give the President that authority than the next R will have it also.

Trump screwed up COVID, he is the reason 250000+ people are dead, if you voted for him you caused people to die at an unprecedented rate, higher than any other place in the world.

If Hilary was president you would be complaining that we locked down and only 50,000 people died.

You are sadly a victim of propaganda and the inability to think critically.

Ummm... no, sadly for you, I have a graduate degree in public health and understand health statistics. As of this morning, the US has a death rate the same as the UK and lower than Spain and many other nations. Our response has been comparable to Western Europe. I could go through a whole explanation of our response and the limitations of our federal system, but that has been done on many threads. Even Biden’s helpers realize that they can call something a “mask mandate” but that it will apply only to federal property. So, like I was saying...

Being educated does not make you free from being a victim of propaganda, which you clearly have show with your posts.

I think you are revealing your ignorance of infectious disease control, federalism, public health infrastructure in the US, and biostatistics. You are not qualified to discern what propaganda is, related to COVID. So back to my original statement... Anyone who voted for Biden thinking that somehow COVID policy will be magically different was foolish. The rhetoric will change, but policy will not. Luckily for Biden, the vaccines facilitated by Trump admin policies will be delivered during his tenure, so yes, it will eventually go away. But, I'm sure that his admin will be quick to add years back to FDA approvals and make the situation worse for the next pandemic.

Now you are showing your ignorance because you don’t know the difference between policy and implementation of policy.

PPE, wide spread testing, etc

Also Trump had nothing to do with Pfizer‘a vaccine and as for Warp speed he has show all he can do is spend money with little return.

But drink the koolaid and die with the cult.

Trump’s tax Bill took away my SALT deduction and he did it out of spite. That says it all.

I live in MoCo and pay lots of taxes, but this was the right move. Let liberals put their money where their mouth is. If you want to vote for high tax government with a welfare state, go for it, but don't expect your federal taxes to cushion the blow for you. You need to actually feel the effects of your votes.

Dems will pay more taxes if the money goes to education and other social programs but the money went to the rich. Stupid!

Democrats shouldn't ignore the fact that Latinos have very strong religious beliefs. Shitting all over religion, especially Christianity, is a favorite Democrat past time.

Bush is not Trump
GOP is not Trump

The fact that you don’t know that Trump is not a conservative Republican is pathetic.

Right. The whole reason we have a high quality of life in MoCo is because of the taxes, both State and local. Robust public transportation, great libraries, amazing fire and police services, and great schools, despite all the complaints. Compare them to some rural county out on the eastern shore and see for yourself.

Yes, Baltimore is such a wonderland because its taxes are even higher than MoCo.

How deluded do you have to be to equate higher taxes with higher quality of life...

After all the DCUM MoCo threads I am very confused.

Is Montgomery County a haven for hidden Trump supporters, or is it a socialist People’s Republic under Dear Leader Elrich?

Help me out, which is it!

Not gender inclusive.

Latinx, therefore folx.

Speaking of which, why did so many Latinx folx vote GOP?

Not Latinx (or Latine) Mostly Cubans voted for trump.

The Most propaganda $$$ targeted Cubans in FLA showing Biden with AOC and Castro saying Biden would seize their businesses.

False.

Latinx everywhere voted GOP, not just Cubans. If I recall correctly 48% of all FL Latinx voted GOP, and something similar happened in many TX areas.

No. The Latino/a vote won Arizona for Biden.

By "rhetoric", I take it you mean we'll now have honest and fact-based communication from our president? If you don't think that will make a difference, then I think you're revealing your ignorance of a central concept of public health.

You are a dumba#### trump got rid of the pandemic playbook to address pandemics. wearing a mask makes a huge difference. having a vaccine is not enough, it's the distrubution and rollout of the vaccine. but keep telling yourself whatever you want to hear. at least go take a basic public health class.(unless you are seema verma. in that case, you should have your MPH rescinded)

County of 1.3 million people has just under 100,000 Trump voters. News at six.

Montgomery County is like a city, or any other metro area with lots of different kinds of people.
Overwhelmingly the majority vote Democratic.
The iconic Montgomery Countyan might be a pink hat wearing Resistance liberal with an advanced degree and a Prius. But there are so many different kinds of people. Working class immigrants. Old timer upcounty farmers. Conservative real estate brokers. Country club elitists. LGBTQ, YIMBY, DSA, any acronym soup of identities and activists. The exhausted majority who hate politics. Contrarian Trumpers. QAnon crazies. Dyed in the wool Communists. Marc Elrich. Robin Ficker.

Is it really news that a county of 1.3 million doesn’t all agree with one another?
