SJC assistant coach forcing their kids to play through Next Level in which he profits from..... sounds like another athletic scandal already in the works....

Actually, three already played NL. Two Madlax kids ran from the Madlax 2024 team due to the crazy coach.

WCAC only offseason rule is that training, practice and competition must total less than twelve hours a week.

Not a Gonzaga booster but how could you even have SJC ranked above Gonzaga when SJC has maybe beat Gonzaga once in the past decade.

SJC lost the best goalie in the area last year by a mile and I believe they also graduated a very good FOGO. I see it as the following:

1. Bullis - talented in all positions and have depth. Senior class has been playing together and getting big time minutes for a number of years now.
2. Gonzaga - the Eagles always have depth and are battled tested. WCAC titles runs through Eye Street not Military road
3. G. Prep - very athletic and should have the depth to compete with anyone in the DC area. Coaching is VERY VERY suspect.
4. Landon - Bears probably have the best attackman in the IAC and will have very strong defensive team. Midfield will be the big question mark. Always well coached
5. SJC - super athletic but graduated best attackman in area from 2020 and their top goalie. If a season is played, SJC will be a much better team come June than they are in April.

HM: Don't ever count out Saint Stephens.

Prep, Gonzaga and Bullis are the most talented teams by a mile. Gonzaga is the best WCAC team by 5-7 goals.

Fake news. Prep couldn't beat SJC this year. GZ barely beat SJC with a bunch of Freshmen in 2019 WCAC Title game. Early results in 2020 were showing SJC was class of WCAC. Wins over Deerfield, Gilman, and LB this Summer without the 20s only cement that status. Calvert Hall has fallen off a lot. Unless a bunch of kids are moving in, McDonough will win MIAA in 21.

SJC cadets went 1-2 this past Weekend. Kids are a bunch of ball hogs do not play as a team

That has been their recipe the last few years. No assisted goals. All isolations and no passing.

For what it’s worth SJC was off to a very strong start in the spring of 2020.

They beat g prep by 6 goals and beat Landon by a goal as well.

Say what you want about SJC but they are on the rise

How? By the way, no one is being forced to do anything. The Crabs Cuse commit played for Crabs when they lost to the NL Cadets team. Mostly no conflicts with club.

Soooo let me get this straight.... several SJC varsity and jv players are playing together as a team under the Next Level Cadets name under Next Level.

A Next Level employee and coach, also happens to work at SJC and coaches their varsity squad.

No chance this is even allowed by WCAC league rules.

Next Level has sold their soul to SJC. NL 24 Coach neutered by new SJC guy. What was once a well run program with high standards is now just like the others. At least the MadLax guy develops his players.

Not sure that WCAC rules prohibit this. A couple of weekends ago, the SJC baseball team had what seemed to be an intra-squad game at Blair under the Diamond Skills Baseball moniker. All the SJC coaches seemed to be there.

According to WCAC by-laws, any outside coaching is allowed so long as it is voluntary and approved by the Athletic Director. The problem the baseball coach at SJC ran into is he made it mandatory, cost ridiculous and even the school administration backed him up. It was only the mass transfer of players which ended it.

Spring high school sports, not club, are dangerously close to being canceled. This seems like a pretty good idea and I would think GP, L, GZ and others are thinking about doing the same right now. After all, this is just an extension of the NHSLS idea but moving into the vacuum of spring sports.

Correct, Diamond Skills is the travel arm of the coach at SJC. Here's the article from the post and, I think, the pay-to-participate scheme is still going on and backed by the school. https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2020/03/19/st-johns-baseball-team-requirement-play-coachs-private-team-causes-turmoil/

How has NL sold their soul to SJC? Most of the NL kids play for Gonzaga, and three IAC schools.
