DC - pot smoking neighbors

Hey, if you need it for pain or other, have it. But just don't make your neighbors smell it. Keep it in your house and out of my yard...

Yeah. plus it stinks 10x worse. Pot smoke is nauseating.

In this day in age there's no excuse to no buy and use dry herb vaporizers if you're going to get baked. Pot stinks, but I keep the stench to a minimum with a portable vape that costs less than most fancy glass bongs. No complaints from any of my neighbors, and everybody's happy. People are inconsiderate and dumb.

If pot smoke bothers you, you need to avoid the Petworth Library parking lot after school get out for the day.

There is no such thing as medical marijuana. Marijuana does not have any proven medical benefits whatsoever. It's all wishful thinking. If drug companies made the claims that pot advocates make, those drug companies would be sued out of existence for false advertising.

Gosh you're right PP. I have back pain and I'm going to stop using pot and switch to opiates right away! Thanks for the great advice!

As another poster has said, the solution seems to exist within the decriminalization of pot ordinance that we have already approved.

How do we find out how much tax has been collected and turned around into programs and advertising on the parameters of the ordinance. I certainly have never seen a bus stop sign or any sign stating the rules, though I smell pot at the bus stop every day.

How much money has been collected and how is it being spent. How can we redirect some of that expenditure into letting people know how they can legally comply with the rules and where they can safely smoke?

It doesn't have any proven medical benefits because it's very difficult to study it for medical research, thanks to federal drug regulations. Maybe allowing scientists who get federal funds to look into it would change that!

Very little, since Congress has blocked D.C. from fully legalizing or setting up a real taxation system for weed. The tax on medical cannabis is 5.75 percent, but I bet most people are still using the gray or black market rather than getting a medical card and going to a dispensary.

as they should. Our mayor is completely incompetent. Crime has gone up. We have motorcycle gangs running up and down the street on illegal and often stollen dirt bikes. Many have guns on them. On the Fourth of July, people were shooting guns into the air in some NW neighborhoods.

Then you the mayor not allowing police to do their job going after criminals.

DC does not deserve statehood right now. or manage their own affairs. That is clear.

Oh is this the standard for statehood now? Guess Texas and Florida need to revert to territorial status until they show some progress.
