I find this suit so interesting. This is the second suit (countersuit?) where his management companies defense is that Kelly had her own management company and they were her company of record. Therefore all the illegal claims she’s making are false. Why would she pay 2 firms to manage her? And how was her husband a successful manager before her if he’s never been licensed in CA??

She makes $14 million a year from The Voice alone. She also has her own TV show and music royalties from current tours + albums.

Her husband is also her manager. He knows exactly how much he can win.

They have a prenup. He’s not getting 301k in monthly spousal support.

The prenup doesn’t cover what happens if he loses his job and his spouse at the same time. Kelly was both. She mixed business with pleasure.

Depends on the contract. She had two management companies. CAA in California might have been paid, sent the money to Kelly and she was supposed to give Brandon his share. Or she gave him money but kept funds back from deals that had nothing to do with him.

Her other management company probably gets paid first and then disperses the money to her. Since Brandon’s company cannot work in CA (and that is where her talk show is based out of and The Voice) I’m not sure how they could collect on her behalf. That’s why I think this whole thing is shady. Why did she engage/pay a second firm? Just a way to funnel her husband his allowance?
