They are married and it's their money. Just like any married couple. If it was a SAHM and the spouse was employed it's still "their" money. They have a lot of money, so obviously the monthly amount is going to be larger. It's all calculated by a percentage. Lesson learned for her, he was probably using her all along.

But they had a prenup, so maybe this amount is based on their prenup. If not, does anyone know why that isn’t be enforced.

If the judge determines it's valid, all those support numbers go out the window, and Brandon will get whatever is spelled out in the prenup."
No idea what the issue with the prenup is, though.

They were married for 7 years, 6 if you count separation, how does that equate?

The $$ is almost nothing to her. She makes 1.9m salary/month plus her music revenue. So she's good, but glad to hear it's finite.

A spouse could contest the prenup, for example s/he can claim it was signed under duress. I think a judge would have to decide it’s validity in such a scenario.
