She makes $14 million a year from The Voice alone. She also has her own TV show and music royalties from current tours + albums.

Her husband is also her manager. He knows exactly how much he can win.

They have a prenup. He’s not getting 301k in monthly spousal support.

The prenup doesn’t cover what happens if he loses his job and his spouse at the same time. Kelly was both. She mixed business with pleasure.

Doesn’t matter. Otherwise every SAHW would be able to break their prenup if they quit/lost their job after marriage. Besides, his father’s company hasn’t folded. He can manage someone else if he’s so great at it.

So? That has nothing to do with spousal support. If she owes her management firm money, she should pay it. Not sure how successful they’ll be in proving a verbal agreement.

Yeah I’m not seeing this going Kelly’s way. He’s got no job and she was his main income. On top of that she filed in California - a community property state and in the six years they’ve been married she made a buttload of money.

The pre-nup covers everything she made pre-2013. Her best years have been since then.

Something major had to have caused this degree of animosity. For this much hate, it almost always is cheating/infidelity.

That's actually pretty typical language in custody issues. I'd say about 50% or more of the cases I work on have that included in there.

I'm actually interested in this topic and I have to wonder who SHOULD she have married. He was successful in his own right (making high 6-figures a year), was moderately handsome, and came from a tight family. He doesn't have a college degree but neither does Kelly. Seems like was a good choice unless she was going for a superstar on her level and quite frankly - they tend to go for drop-dead gorgeous women with nothing going on.

When they were dating Kelly looked like the back-up singer at a local bar, not an American Idol winner with 6 successful tours and 2 Grammies.
