Okay but the Mormon church is not where the turtle creek guy got his money. The church hoards its money, they dont hand it out (except in very narrow circumstances). There is a lot of prosperity doctrine stuff in Mormonism but there are lots of poor/lower class/middle class Mormons.
Their prophet, according to many, was a scam artist. He created a bible based on capitalism. So the Mormon way is the capitalistic way. Enter a lucrative career. Make money. (In women's cases, find a husband who's rich.) Have kids and tithe and tithe and tithe. They live their lives insulated, among other Mormons. Of course they work with the "masses," but their boundaries are strong.
