Pomona

More a function of these schools making girls feel comfortable reporting than anything else.

So imagine Pomona’s true rate once it quits its policy of retaliation.

Or rates at other colleges when they make it easier to report.

Pomona is counting these delusional parents who are willing to exchange their daughters for crumb aid$.

Lot of haters here of Pomona all of a sudden. Sorry your kid didn't get in.

Not that this is Pomona-specific, but do not counter an argument suggesting underreporting of something by giving a list of reported statistics. By definition, that doesn't address the potential underreporting issue. Time to pick up the logic game DCUM.

Just pointing out facts.
My kid’s at an ivy. You are trying to deflect Pomona’s issue. You are doing a poor job at it. My kid’s being at an ivy isn’t going to change the problems at schools like Pomona.

So is mine. And they are pretty up there on the list. Cornell is not a real Ivy by the way.

If someone made that argument you should attach as a response. Not really sure who you’re responding to.

Your daughter’s not gonna tell you she or her friends were assaulted. Try to pay attention.

“ Another way of looking at the data is to analyze rape report totals in the context of the size of enrollment. The Post analysis found these 10 schools had the highest total of reports of rape on their main campuses per 1,000 students:

- Reed College: 12.9 (reports per 1,000)
- Wesleyan: 11.5
- Swarthmore College: 11.0
- Knox College: 10.0
- Williams College: 8.9
- Pomona College: 8.5
- Bowdoin College: 8.3
- Gallaudet University: 8.1
- Beloit College: 6.9
- Dartmouth: 6.7“

This was a response to 5/9 20:16.

So there.

Accusing a college of being a hot bed of rape and then saying they cover it up so there is no evidence is just standard DCUM bullshit.

Pomona has been following the Trumpian strategy before Trump. It’s as if Donald Trump says there are now 1,300,696 confirmed coronavirus cases in the USA so the number must be legitimate. The true number is probably 8x the “official” count.

Oh, btw, China reported approximately 80,000 confirmed cases. So they must be truthful.

Some real loons on this thread. Pomona is a fantastic college and any kid smart enough to get in is on a great trajectory. Don’t sweat the weirdos here with an ax to grind.

Real loons, weirdos? You mean Washington Post for reporting an inconvenient truth? You can find the info easily if you know how to google. It’s all open source info.
