The same way I have my Heriz rugs cleaned. By a professional.

Not trying to be an ass, but I don't think many of you are in the demographic to understand how these things work.

I simply cannot imagine putting an IKEA curtain on Target hardware against a room with Schumacher wall coverings.

Its OK that some people have more disposable income. Seriously, you will be OK and get through this revelation.

Ooh, you’re so fancy! I’m just too low class to understand!

Awesome post thank you.

Could you please post a few pics of drapes you think look nice?

Allergy nightmare

Already answered. They go to the dry cleaner, just as comforters or nicer linens would.

How often? Not often enough for people who suffer from allergies. And then you bring home the dry cleaning fumes. My lungs are tightening up just thinking about it.

I think this means you have anxiety.

^^^ Adults have the time to take care of their homes.

There's a sad, childish person who is loading this thread with nasty comments. I hope they find some peace and happiness so they don't feel the need to hang out on a home decorating forum trashing other people.

Good grief - custom window treatments just mean you didn't buy them off the shelf. They don't have to be upholstered valances, tasseled ends, and tons of cabbage rose fabric. Having an odd size window, wanting a recessed track or lots of yards of fabric can all get you there. Several non-Dallas /Laura Ashley examples:

“Adults have time to take care of their homes” ?? WTF does that mean?!

OP literally said she does not have time to design or take care of her home.

Thanks. I’ll let my allergist know.

Newsflash - there are many people who don’t like dated window treatments.

There are many people who posted on here, Boomer.

I said they looked dated earlier and then posted a pic of Roman shades. Need a pic of wood blinds too?

I think the whole point of “Boomer” as an insult is that it’s only funny if you say it to a Gen X-er and I think in your post you were implying that the person was an actual Boomer which makes it not really work.

I’m not that PP but I have PPed about the drapes being nice and I’m a millennial, also just a nicer person than you I think.

You think there are really boomers on a mommy website?

The adults comment was for the person who can’t imagine taking something to the dry cleaners.

I haven’t been to the dry cleaners in 15 years.

The fumes are noxious.

This thread is pretty funny. Shows how class concious and insecure DCUM is.

Lower class DCUM just can't stand that they don't have as much as the wealthy and have to throw shade to feel better about their station. Pretty sad that this is what ya'll are obsessed about over Christmas.
