I think we're generally in agreement, but I do want to say that I don't think we should represent staying with a cheating husband as a virtuous thing. It is a complicated decision, and one I can't second-guess for her, but I see nothing romantic in "loving him enough to weather the humiliation" the press (or the husband) is dishing out.

Very appropriate that you place black man in quotes. Applying the term "black man" to tiger is a bit of a joke. I swear, if he comes out and use race to explain any of the scrutiny that he is getting, I will pack my bags and leave this country.

Seems to me that Tiger has done nothing but reject the African American community. He hangs with white people because he likes hanging with white people, not because he is some sneaky representative of black men getting it over on white people.

I do not care what Tiger calls himself and I could not care less who he chooses to hang out with or marry. But it really, really bugs me when people hold him up as a rep of the black community and rush to his defense based on (misguided) racial affinity.
