He didn't smoke and by all accounts wasn't a heavy drinker. |
| So sad. Rest In Peace. I feel like my youth is officially gone. |
| Just goes to show that Hollywood celebs are human too. Disease/sickness doesn't discriminate - Michael J Fox, Selma Blair, Catherine Zeta Jones, and then the long list of celebrities who died from drugs/drinking. |
We would beg Americans working in Moscow to bring us taped episodes of 90210 back in 1993 and 1994. |
We don't know much about him at all, so who knows what vices he did or didn't have. He was very successful in staying under the radar. The only thing we know is that he had colon cancer risk factors a few years ago and said he adjusted his diet because it was too red meat-heavy. A neighbor stated he had back surgery, but we don't know when. We can speculate, but will likely never know what caused this. Any way you look at it, it's just plain sad. |
I moved to Germany for a short while after college, and watched 90210 dubbed into German every day for an hour or so after work. I learned a lot of German that way! |

Stroke has to do with the blood flow to the brain. Nothing to do with smoking or drinking.
The topic of stroke will become a popular focus when a celebrity dies from it, and announced on social media, especially at such a young age. Stroke has hit many people of all ages. Why does it need to be a celebrity before we focus on health. |
Actually... TMZ has has a reputation for trustworthy reporting. I know, I know, they're a complete joke of a "news organization" but TMZ is exceptionally careful regarding their reporting... especially when reporting deaths. I work for News Corp & prior to that, I worked for Viacom. Both corporations have always partnered with TMZ, as they somehow always get exclusives faster than any other site (it doesn't matter how much money Rubert Murdoch throws at a source, somehow TMZ gets them first). I will say, it took a lawsuit some years back for TMZ to tighten up their act & sail straight. Now, they're actually reputable for how seriously they take their fact checking. TMZ is not like the National Inquirer, OK! or even US Weekly, as the majority of those publications stories are questionable, filled with half truths & their mainly comprised of smoke and mirrors. They readily make up salacious, unbelievable quotes as told by their "anonymous source" so there's no way to verify truth. Yes, TMZ's subscribers are repulsive & complete dredges of society, however that doesn't mean that TMZ doesn't print fact. Truth be told, TMZ almost always scoops every other news organization internationally (no idea how they do it, my best guess is that Harvey Levin made a deal with the devil). The devil may work hard, but Kris Jenner works harder... and shilling right behind her is good old Harvey.
RIP Luke Perry. (sorry to go off-topic for a moment). |
| ^ they're (damn you talk to text!). |
Agreed. Bill Paxton passed away at 62 from a stroke following complications from surgery, so if he did have surgery recently, that could have been a factor. |
My mother passed away from that as well. She did have underlying cancer but surgery started the process that led to her death. |
|
I just keep hearing the “90210” theme song over and over in my head, now:
“Da da dada. . .da da dada. . . . (Brandon arm pump) boom boom! “ |
Um, smoking absolutely increases your risk of stroke. |
| From my sister, the nurse: "well, it's actually not weird, which is very sad. we try to talk to people about BP constantly, bc it is a silent killer. contributes to like 1000 deaths a day from stroke ? it's considered common between age 41-50 and VERY common between 50and 60." so who knows what happened to Luke Perry. Get your blood pressure checked everyone and maybe start lowering it right now by not being complete axxholes if you can |
Take your debate to the Health & Medicine forum. By all accounts, Luke Perry did not smoke. |
