So right about the kids not even showing up in class! I was near a high school in eastern MoCo, and I watched as the kids got off the bus and immediately started walking away. They never even went into the building.

And my property taxes are paying for that?

Yes, and it's really put a financial burden on average earners who bought modest homes. They purchased a house they could afford, years ago, and now the property taxes have escalated so high that they're being priced out of their own home

Anything that drives up real estate values does that, not just a larger public school budget. Development along the orange and red lines, the total rebuilding of Arlington and Bethesda, more demand for housing in this area all drive up property taxes. Someone needs to attempt to break down that rise, in Fairfax say, due to immigrant schooling vs other factors.

I think voting materials should all be in English. All the other non-English speakers had to learn English to vote, why not Soanish speakers?

Illegal immigrants should not be voting. Basic English knowledge needed for citizenship

It's impossible to do because we can't get a reliable count of what percent are illegals. If we could, it would be easy.

We're not even allowed to ask on the Census form because it wouldn't be "fair" to ilegal immigrants.

Yes, I agree that would be the proper solution, but you know liberals would never stand for it. So since seniors are stuck in bad school districts because of illegals, I think they should get a tax break.

Can you back up your assertions with actual numbers, pleas. How many students in schools are undocumented. Also how many taxes are undocumented workers paying? That would be helpful to know. Because you must be basing your post on actual numbers that you can cite. Otherwise why make those assertions.

There have been 600 unaccompanied minors released in northern VA just this fiscal year with most of those dumped in Fairfax County. There are probably many many more who weren't caught at the border and show up at our schools. If your schools were impacted like some of ours you would understand. Our school is overflowing already and when you include kids who are way behind everyone else and don't speak a word of English, it slows down the entire class and negatively impacts everyone.

Yeah MoCo went way down after Prince William County ran out illegal immigrants and a lot of them went to MoCo. It used to be one of the best school systems in the area but now their schools are in the toilet because of the influx of these kids. I've heard the graduation rate dropped pretty low too.

Yes, I grew up there and went to the local public school. It was a middle to upper-middle class school, with parents who were mostly college graduates and very involved in their kids' educations. Now it's unrecognizable.

When they are registering for school, they have to being a birth certificate. This info isn't collected because liberals don't want it to be collected.

You obviously have never seen a Fairfax County ballot. From the Vietnamese on it, I initially thought we were voting for some office in Hanoi. Then I noticed the other languages like Chinese, Korean, and Arabic. At least I can spell the Spanish words!

What about senior citizens who plan to sell their house to fund their nursing home stays their last few years? Because of the drop in house prices, they'll run out of money sooner and have to go on Medicaid. That's another indirect way illegal immigrants are a tax burden.

You should see the Obamacare translations! Something like 100 languages are available for non-English speakers so they can apply for subsidies.
