This thread is more evidence that 90% of women do it with 10% of guys -- seems much more common among women. I think only a small subset of guys can really pull this off.

+1. I was thinking the same thing. I had a co worker years ago who could pull this off and did frequently. He was a total narcissist and a jerk and often made of the girls while recounting his stories.

Once, when I was 23. I had just gone through a bad breakup, had been laid off from my job, and found out that my dad had cancer. I was a wreck and had too much to drink, and wound up going home with a guy I met at a bar. He seemed like a perfectly nice person and asked for my phone number so that we could go on a date sometime, but I gave him a fake number. The incident was completely out of character for me and only happened because I was in a bad place in life. I'm 45 now and married for 15 years, FWIW.

It's gross. The guy was lower quality than what I would usually choose. Also I must have had low self esteem at the time. I am lucky I didn't get a disease. I don't even think we used protection.

This is so different than how i am now. I am super careful and leave little to chance in life.

Thanks for reminding me of an awful memory. I was 22 and I had just been dumped by a guy I had been dating for three years. It came out of the blue and I was really devastated. I went to a bar near where I lived and within minutes a guy at the bar was buying me drinks. I invited him back to my place and had what's best described as angry revenge sex. Twenty+ years later I'm still disgusted by what I did. WTF was I thinking?

OMG - I once did this and I did things I'd never done with my ex as I was a bit of a prude. A few months later I met my now DH and he benefited long term from my revenge.
