8 hours of screaming on a flight

It would be dreadful to be on that flight but also dreadful to be the mom. It’s definitely one of those instances where you thank God it wasn’t your kid.

I have a lot of compassion...for the poor people on the flight and the airline employees.

As do I, but we’re only seeing part of the picture, with this guy’s commentary woven in.

Another woman, at the very end of the video, is heard saying, "What a nightmare, oh my God - eight hours of screaming." Obviously, the screaming went on for the entire flight. Let's not pretend otherwise.

This is over a year old, so why is it in the news now? However, it is clear from the article Mom was not parenting (or Dad, if there) and they just let the kid run wild. He may have had ear or other issues, but as a parent you bring medications, food and other stuff or ask another parent if you forgot.

Did you hear the woman quoted at the end? Did you see the exhausted passengers deplaning? Come on!!

Was the mom traveling alone with this SN child AND a baby? What about her partner? I didn’t see any efforts expended. No sorry or explanation to other passengers either. No preparation. No donwloaded materials, toys, Benadryl....What entitlement! She/They have probably gotten away with this and much worse before and this will continue.

What kind of special (entitled, young, male, likely childless) snowflake is so incensed by children that they do this?

I am PP but yeah I totally agree. So so wrong to do the video.

In all fairness, I’d probably scream too if I had had to go to Newark. Or New Jersey in general.

No one knows if this kid was SN and not all SN kids act this way. It was bad parenting. You don't drug kids either.

Exactly my thoughts. May this young man, one day, have a toddler of his own.

lmao omg shut up. No normal toddler acts like this and I'm sorry but he's 4...not a toddler. Old enough to know you don't act like a damn lunatic on a plane.

Oh my god, I feel so sorry for a couple of hundred people on the plane who were stuck on the plan for that 'mom and her little boy'. Ugh. I hope she learns how to control her out of control brat.

No shit. Not once in that video do you see her getting up and trying to control him. She lets him run up and down the aisle and climb peoples seats. If I was sitting behind them and he was climbing my seat I would have sternly told him to get down now. Sorry but if you can't control your brat, someone else can.

He was 3, but its odd he didn't calm down for 8 hours. I have to wonder if he was in pain or something else but mom should have held him or something. It isn't safe to let him run around and climb. That was a parenting failure if she did nothing.
