How do they have a Sackler school of Medicine in Tel Aviv when their drug profits are killing the masses? It’s sick!

I'm guessing they're Jewish.

The Sacklers have killed so many people all for greed.

True. Same with lots of others in Big Pharma.

Esquire had something about this. Can someone please post that link?

Currently? Mexican drug cartels. It is now very very hard to get opioids from doctors and pharmacies. Most all of it now are street drugs.

White, UMC, mid-30's, and married, by the way. It wasn't like the OB was judging. He had just set himself up as some a8shole warrior in the war on drugs.

Which physician did that? Liar.

Huh? Doesn't sound at all implausible.

Ugh, this. The war on addiction has made it impossible for people with real pain to get any help. Same thing - had a c section and was not given anything. Broke my foot last year, and the ER said that they couldn't prescribe anything unless I was getting surgery. Since it was "just" a cast, just ibuprofen.

For all of those things you dont need anything more than ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is more effective than opioids, but not nearly as fun.

Who exactly is protecting this criminal mob family?
Every politician who accepts $$$$$ from Big Pharma.

At least Trump didn't need to take their dirty donations. Maybe that's why he isn't afraid to attack the opioid epidemic, now killing 72,000 Americans a year. You got it, 72,000 dead Americans a year from drug overdoses. Yet not much outrage here. Why?

There is a lot of outrage. Heroin cut with Fentanyl is the biggest culprit in opioid deaths. Heroin just after marijuana is the 2nd easiest drug to obtain in this country. Nearly all Heroin is coming over the southern border, direct from Mexican production lines and the thousands of poppy farms in Latin America . There is so much outrage that it is a major national issue with half the country violently against any effort to stop the trafficking over our border. Might as well get used to it. No way in hell will we ever have a secure border. The people don't want it. Your kids will be exposed Heroin is now commonly used and you're just going to have to do your best to protect your own.

I work for CBP and was recently promoted and have moved to DC from a border state (not going to out myself) it is an absolute crisis down there. People pouring over like a title wave with backpacks full of Heroin. For every 1 we catch, I'd bet 10 get over. This shrinkage rate is just the cost of doing business and hardly makes a dent in the supply chain. As far as I'm concerned the military should be at that border. It's a war zone and Americans are dying at rates that would make the nation weep if we were in a traditional war.

Thank you for being honest.
I can't understand the Liberal push for open borders.

Correct. People insisting they need opioids are part of the problem.

Link is research to back up the PP's statement.

There is no medication for people with chronic pain. What company had any incentive to do research for a non addictive pain medicine when the greedy Sacklers sent out their lying marketing team that they had a non addictive pain medicine.
The Sacklers are responsible for millions of deaths and ruined lives. They are also responsible for all the people suffering because of missed opportunities of research. Places like Harvard that took their death money certainly did not put that money to do real research to come up with a good pain medication that people with chronic conditions can take safely. Harvard just used the money to puff up their rankings.
The Sacklers are protected by NYC greedy people.

Chronic pain can be caused by a lot of things, but one thing that is clear is that it is NOT an opioid deficiency. People need to address the real issues, no more bandaids.

And the PP arguing that it was so unbelievably unjust for a doctor to expect her to deal with a broken limb without opioids is an idiot. I've had broken limbs, a couple of major surgeries, and I've not had any opioids and that's fine with me. And my pain threshold isn't even high. Take opioids off the table and just look at the options you have and pick the best one for you given the circumstances. That's what everyone else does. Stop being so precious. A broken arm or leg isn't supposed to be fun.
