Sacklers took a drug that was known to be addictive for thousands of years and turned it into a new little pill then marketed it to the masses as non addictive. They have killed millions and made a shit load of money doing so. The want to make themselves look good by donating to their favorite universities and charities. Lies made them rich and killed the common man. |
Yeah, I'm that poster who was sent home that early and accused of lying. I was eating, walking, and peeing, so why keep me? I'd kinda expected more than OTC Advil, though. He wouldn't even write a prescription for ibuprofen - though I maintain that that early after a c-section, opioids are warranted. It's not as though I was lying in bed at home, after all. I needed actual pain relief. |
Did you try meditation? |
So outrageous. Prison, anyone? |
Travis Rieder, author of “In Pain: A Bioethicist’s Personal Struggle with Opioids”, is now on C-SPAN - Washington Journal. He’s a Director at Hopkins. |
What was the settlement the court is making Johnson and Johnson pay? |
"Landmark" ruling against Johnson & Johnson of $572,000,000 for "flooding the market with painkillers"; "used deceptive marketing campaigns"; and "undersold the risk of addiction." Fox 5 news says this ruling is setting a precedent for thousands of other lawsuits waiting in the wings. Fox 5 news. |
So the nobles of days long ago exploited the peasants Bourgeois exploiting the proletariat Law cannot be on their side indefinitely. Perhaps getting the pitchforks out would help |
How will the Sacklers get punished for all the people they killed? |
OP, it's on the news today.
Virginia has filed a lawsuit against the Sackler family. According to WTOP, "The suit names Richard, Jonathan, Kathe and Mortimer Sackler as defendants. It takes particular aim at Richard Sackler, Purdue’s former president and chairman...Since 2007, approximately 8,000 Virginia residents have died from opioid overdoses, including about 5,000 from prescription opioids...The lawsuit alleges that for years, Purdue marketed its prescription opioids as safe, effective and having a low risk of addiction." https://wtop.com/virginia/2019/09/virginia-joins-states-suing-owners-of-purdue-pharma/ |
Sackler & Co. are no doubt the MOST prolific mass murders of our time. So where’s the DCUM outrage demanding harsh consequences and tightening the legal loopholes? |
I agree with you. They have killed so many people in this country. This drug for all of time has been know to be one of the most addictive. It is all blood money. Blood money to their donor recipients. Fancy colleges and museums. There should be a museum built to honor all the victims of this mass murdering family. The elite colleges and museums should hand back every single penny back to the real victims. |
Reported they were hiding their billions in Swiss bank accounts. Greedy family holding on to all that money they owe millions of victims and the families of the dead. |
I also heard on the news this week that the killer Sacklers were recently found to be moving around their fortunes in hopes of hiding it from their countless victims. They aren’t used to accountability. |
Sacklers should fund a bazillion treatment centers across this country and pay for the funeral of every opioid dead person. |
