Current 8th graders at NCS, applying out for 9th?

Many of the girls are waitlisted. Even the top girls because its such a tough year for admissions. The economy is good therefore Aunt Poopsie and Uncle Swizzles in Boca will most definitely feel compelled to make sure Muffin doesn't have to breath that dirty public school air. Tut-Tut off to play some paddle. Wish you were here but glad you're not.

Parents need to monitor their daughters (and sons but the boys dont post racy photos of themselves) better on social media.

Newsflash: Though you might not want to believe it the world does not end nor does it begin on "The Close." Your DD are subjected to and influenced by the same societal pressures that confront every other girl in America. Yes, America because social media has done much to bridge the gap between races and economic groups.

Is that positive? It depends on how its utilized.

Eh....I don't agree. The culture on the close trumps whatever you believe the influence of social media has on our kids. But tell me again why you care?

Who cares? As a Holton parent, Bullis is making great strides lately. Their STEAM building will be done next year, they are allowing AP's as early as sophomore year, they recruit heavily for top of class students and also for sports. It is very tempting. I think they are moving up. If some NCS kids got a "scholarship" aka FA to go to Bullis and can knock out A's in a bunch of AP's and get noticed athletically, why not?

Bullis culture is not one sustainable with its current model.

Aaahhhh, no one from NCS is getting a "scholarship" to switch to Bullis. You clearly have zero understanding of the topic of this thread, much less the Bullis tangent.
Anonymous
You are incorrect "Zero Understanding." Bullis has approached NCS in the past with offers of FA. So you can call it what you want FA or scholarship but it has happened.

So my daughter is a recent alum and said 18 girls were not asked to return.
