I disagree. Murdering someone because of a dispute is different from murdering someone for the color of their skin, or their religious faith.

This was a heinous act.

You're wrong. He killed them, yes. Whether or not it was "execution-style" (the exact phrase used) remains to be seen, pending the investigation. This is "execution style":

The phrase has a very specific visual and definition.

I agree. Isn’t every murder a “hate crime” of sorts?
I personally don’t care for the label “hate crime.” Most crime is indeed, hateful.

I one hundred.percent agree with you. Murder is murder is murder.

Your world view is shaped by your experience. Most likely if you are in the white majority in this country, you don't emotionally or intellectually understand the delineation the law has made between a crime and a hate crime. "Murder is murder is murder" until the victim is a child, or was tortured first, or is targeted for their appearance. Do you see the difference in those categories? Murder is not all the same.

That is the Urban Dictionary definition. People don't have to be on their knees for it to be execution style.

Urban Dictionary has nothing to do with it. And, yes, they do.

In this case it was the same as any other murder over a parking space dispute.

But nice attempt at fanning the flames of racial and religious bigotry for . . . for what purpose exactly?

I believe you are the bigot.

Again, this is still being investigated as a hate crime by authorities there. Why don't you drive down to Chapel Hill and explain to the DA how he's fanning the flames. The verdict is not in on that yet.

Um, no, they don't.

People are often lying in bed when killed execution style, or lying on the floor.

Hows this hate crime.investigation going?

" Zemir Begic died protecting fiancee Arijana Mujkanovic, when hammer-wielding teens allegedly attacked them on a city street.
Insistence by St. Louis officials that the beating death of a Bosnian man was not a hate crime is being met with skepticism and anger, according to leaders of the city’s 70,000-strong Bosnian community, and the victim’s brother is calling on authorities to “investigate every possible motive.”"

It won't go anywhere. Unlike Inge chapel hill case, they do not have their religious hatred documented on the Internet. And since a survivor said it wasn't a racial attack, there will be no federal charges.

That said I find it odd that conservatives were so certain it was a hate crime, but in this case they think its a parking dispute.

Oh? Do you have any other murders over a parking space to compare it to?

Different poster here. Suggest you google "fight over parking space". I bet there has been a killing or two.

Come on - surely, the guy killed them not just over the parking space. Does anyone really believe it was just the parking space? I doubt it. The guys name is Hicks too - what is that English class term for when you have a last name that describes you? Lord I wish i knew right now...
