He also said Sunnis and Shiites are closer than, say, catholics and protestants, and normally the Shiites are the crazier ones. The hundreds of millions of muslums in Indonesia, for example, don't consider themselves Shiites or Sunnis.

For the most part, those who pray to God five times a day are good people.

99% of Muslims in Indonesia do consider themselves Sunnis. Your friend is right that most religions teach that you should love your neighbor, who is likely to be your co-religionist anyway--it's in how you treat the "other", the non-Muslim or the non-Christian, where there's a difference. Also, Sunnis and Shiites are closer that Catholics and Protestants - what? True, Catholics and Protestants were at each other's throats in a number of wars historically, and more recently in Ireland, but as a general rule the days of blowing up each other's churches, or Protestant and Catholic states funding armies against each other, are a thing of the past. Thank goodness.

Palestinians are now holding protests and denouncing this incident as an "act of terror"-such BS! They shoulod denounce 9/11, the Paris shootings, the Denmark shootings and hundred of other true Acts of terror committed in the name of ALLAH as well. Cant have it both ways-sorry!

They want to send investigators the Post said.

Now, if they would denounce their own terrorism, then 80% of the world terror deaths would be stopped!

They want to send investigators with bombs strapped on their backs! We need to stop coddling these fucking psychos and tell them to deal with the shit in their own backyard. The US can deal with the shit in theirs. I sure don't see them sending "investigators" to Paris or Denmark! I doubt this NC incident was an act of terror or a even hate crime-but even if it is, do they really think they are the only ones who can continuously kill people in the name of religion and be immune from retaliation. It is just ridiculous!

I don't think it's right to call Palestinians "fucking psychos". They want the same independence we did, and what Israel did. And the means they use to accomplish it are not all right, but they are not substantially different from what Israel used.

Pretty sure this could be said of any nation/ethnicity.

I have seen this a dozen times. "How dare those [insert group here] do that to me. Who do they think they are?? I will show them!"

The fact they were Muslim may not have been the primary reason, but I am sure it factored into his rage. There is no doubt in my mind.

You make a great juror. Absolutely certain of not only the crime but the motive even! Without seeing or hearing a shred of evidence.

Uh, they have. Everyone in authority has and everyone on social media has. Dummy

Oh my. I think you should refrain from speaking for actual Shiites and Sunnis about their doctrines. It goes beyond the Party of Ali.

I'm reading that the father of two of the victims is the leader of a the mosque in North Carolina that was raided for a plot to kill Marines at Quantico.

Wonder if the shooter was aware of this? Could make it more then a parking dispute if so

No, it's just that the Sunnis reach out for the white man more, and Shiites are content being insular. Reflects the current (and all former) administration thinking that made friends with all Sunni dictatorships.

I know the many significant differences between Catholic and protestant. Please explain the differences between Sunni and Shiite. Same Quran?
