How "rich" are you - or not?

What is the point of this thread? How much you should be saving/investing? There are far easier ways of divining that than taking a poll on DCUM.

ahah! let me help. between DH and I double all your figures and this is our situation. We're both with non-profits so big money is not in the cards for us. But we are happy -- stressed out, but happy ;o)


I don't consider either of you to be low income. I have 10k in retirement, 1k in savings, make 40K a year and have 2 kids. I'm 34. But loaded-rich in personality and quality of life!


Yawn! Ok, you have the moral high ground b/c you are less well off. Happy now?
