I don't think anyone doubts that Ina manufactures, to some extent, her "lifestyle." But she doesn't pretend to be just folks, or to do everything alone. Ree, however, claims to be just folks, even as she and her husband are fabulously wealthy, and she claims she does it all by herself - blogging, managing comments, homeschooling, caring for her four kids, helping her husband ranch, cooking for her family and the ranch hands, doing her show - it just doesn't add up, and it's dishonest. And that's before all the recipes she lifts completely without attribution.

Ina used to work for the Nuclear Reg C, and then had a catering company in the Hamptons--she's legit. Only had one recipe not turn out well from her. Never tried PW--too fatty and meat-centric.

I like Ezrapoundcake and Homesick Texan for food blogs.

Let's keep it real, people. She was a secretary at the NRC, not a scientist or policymaker.

Actually, she has an MBA and was a budget analyst, writing policy papers for Pres. Ford and Carter.

I guess You People complaining about MW don't spend any time on the GOMI forums, huh?

OP here. Let's get one thing straight..Ina is flawless.

this is a silly allegation. So many recipes are similar. I mean - really, how many ways are there to make potato salad. So many American down home recipes are similar. You can't really call this "stealing."

Now, if PW were to post a complicated unique recipe that was clearly taken from someone like Ina Garten, that would be different, but I am sure PW is not "stealing" from church cookbooks so much as tweaking All American favorites which have been around for decades and no one cook can take credit for stuff like that.

I agree. I also find it amazing that someone has dedicated a whole website to expose her as a fraud. I would be pretty proud of myself for just that fact if I were the Pioneer Woman. Imagine you take up so much headspace in some sick person that they stalk you online, probably poring over all your "stolen" recipes, and the ways you have somehow "lied" to your viewers by hiding your ranch, your $$$ lodge renovations, your land, your cattle,... lol

What's absolutely amazing, IMHO, is how PW's defenders are waging war against commenters who don't worship the almighty Ree Drummond. Talk about stalking...just saying. LOL.

I don't even like PW, but think you MW people are NUTSO and very negative.

HOWEVER, I do think it strange to have your head buried all day in negative websites that have the soul purpose of putting out even more venom and hate into this world, as if our cups don't already runneth over. I just can't feel good about participating in the tearing down of another human being, especially when said human is not hurting anyone.

How is it venomous and hateful to expose a fraud? Has lying, not to mention the Pioneer Woman's penchant for plagiarism, become so acceptable that when it's brought to light, her reeple declare war on the website? Good grief, talk about tearing down someone and focusing on negativity. The reeple infestation here is doing the exact same thing they are decrying. That seems to be their "sole purpose." Not sure what a "soul purpose" is.

This was not an error. It was fully intended.

Except that she rejected the Make a Wish kid, twice, because she was oh so very busy.

Her food may be good, but she has plenty of flaws.

Ok, I stand corrected. When she had a biography that ran on FN a couple of years ago, they made it sound like she was basically a typist.

Thanks to this thread I have now gone on the PW website for the first time. What is the deal with the building she is renovating? Is she opening a restaurant in it? Otherwise, she looks like an interesting person with damn cute kids. I didn't even look at any recipes yet!

She's playing coy, as if they have no idea what they plan to do with it. Because that's exactly how the permitting and reno process work - just put in whatever and hope that it matches what you need at the other end!

The PW is using the "building" to drive site traffic. It's the same pretense she used when she built the TV studio on her property, but couched it as a guest house renovation. LOL, sorry, most municipalities require submission of building permits, blueprints and architectural plans prior to construction. The PW knows damn well what that place is going to be but why say so, when you can cloak the whole charade in mystery and collect ad dollars for site clicks.

…so? She's a business woman. She wants her blog to make money. Why is this evil?

I don't see any PPs "worshiping" PW. I see posters saying "dude, what's the big deal" or "she's kind of fake, but…eh." The fact that you think that's "waging war," or "worshiping" PW, and that you're calling those people "reeple" kind of make you look like the unbalanced one. Actually, having coined and using a term like "reeple" does that, too.
