HOWEVER, I do think it strange to have your head buried all day in negative websites that have the soul purpose of putting out even more venom and hate into this world, as if our cups don't already runneth over. I just can't feel good about participating in the tearing down of another human being, especially when said human is not hurting anyone.

How is it venomous and hateful to expose a fraud? Has lying, not to mention the Pioneer Woman's penchant for plagiarism, become so acceptable that when it's brought to light, her reeple declare war on the website? Good grief, talk about tearing down someone and focusing on negativity. The reeple infestation here is doing the exact same thing they are decrying. That seems to be their "sole purpose." Not sure what a "soul purpose" is.

This was not an error. It was fully intended.

For example - use of the phrase "reeple infestation"

You ma'am, are crazy

This is the second time in a year that I have been accused of sock puppeting or paid trollery. Why is it that when a number of people disagree, they must necessarily be sock-puppeting?

Because it's the easy way out. Yelling "hater," "stalker," "sick," etc. requires far less brain effort than a well-thought, intelligent rebuttal.

I'm with you sista. But after reading how the PW threw one of her former home school contributors under the bus, I'm understanding people's outrage a tad better.

Thanks for the link, but I'm not surprised. My mother, sister and I went to one of her book signings last Fall. While waiting in a line wrapped around the block, my sister started reading PW tweets that were less than flattering. An hour later, we weren't any closer to getting our books signed, but we had plenty of time to read sites like Pie Near Woman, PWSux and MW on our phones. Think about it, PW has 3 sites calling her out for being a fraud. We left shortly thereafter and asked the store for our money back. My sweet mother tried to warn us about the plagiarism allegations and all. I mean really, who, besides Ree Drummond, rips off church cookbooks and profits from it?

Now we're hearing about the "sweet mother" turning against PW after reading some tweets! This thread is too funny!

I gotta check out this woman's cooking show to see what it's about.

Whoa, some thread. I read her back in her first year or so. I was surprised she made it as a cookbook writer/TV host, her recipes always struck me as very rich yet pretty basic. I do think she could have given a nod to some of the recipes that inspired her, the church cookbooks. I didn't know there was a subculture of haters around her. What people do with their time never ceases to amaze me.

Again, though - you took the time to comment. And you might revisit the reasons why people think she's so unethical.
