Seriously, a few of those PW Facebook fans need professional help. Consider this, the MO of a reeple is someone who's rabid, radical and cries foul when they can't form a legitimate rebuttal. |
Of course not! But do any of them explicitly claim, as PW used to, to do those things, plus ranching, church activities, and homeschooling? That's the point. |
NP. You might wish to spend two minutes reading the comments page at Marlboro Woman. Just pick one, any one. MW will have a criticism of PW from the show like, "if you don't wash your hands after touching raw chicken and before cutting up raw veggies, you can get salmonella." A few rabid fans of Ree will reply with something very much like what you said, " you are jealous of her and she doesn't even know you're alive!" So it's not a "conspiracy" like Watergate, it's a common occurrence when someone says something, anything against Ree Drummond. |

Wow! This thread has stirred strong opinions!
PW said somewhere in an interview that her blog revenues alone are in seven figures. I think people are riled up about her because of the facade. Giada and Ina do not try to hide their affluent lifestyles. |
Then just...back away from the crazy. Why get all riled up? |
|
If you're trying to say I'm all riled up, I'm not. Just pointing out that PP is maybe not completely off her rocker for suggesting that some of Ree's super fans are commenting. And I'm not standing on the crazy; I don't frequent Marlboro Woman, though I have read it in the past. |
I don't care for PWs recipes (except the Pots De Crème which I posted about earlier) and watched her show only once and was not interested. I cook mainly out of Gwyneth Paltrow's and Ina Garten cookbooks. HOWEVER, I do think it strange to have your head buried all day in negative websites that have the soul purpose of putting out even more venom and hate into this world, as if our cups don't already runneth over. I just can't feel good about participating in the tearing down of another human being, especially when said human is not hurting anyone. Can't MW, put her talents and energy into exposing some pedophiles or human traffickers or something? |
Who in this scenario has their head buried all day in negative websites? You are unclear. |
This is, hands down, my favorite cartoon. |
How is it venomous and hateful to expose a fraud? Has lying, not to mention the Pioneer Woman's penchant for plagiarism, become so acceptable that when it's brought to light, her reeple declare war on the website? Good grief, talk about tearing down someone and focusing on negativity. The reeple infestation here is doing the exact same thing they are decrying. That seems to be their "sole purpose." Not sure what a "soul purpose" is.

I think most people have better things to do than try to figure out if some chick cooking on tv is a "fraud". Get a life! |
Yes, like hanging around on DCUM telling people to "get a life." Something better like that? |

Re: stealing recipes from church cookbooks...
this is a silly allegation. So many recipes are similar. I mean - really, how many ways are there to make potato salad. So many American down home recipes are similar. You can't really call this "stealing." Now, if PW were to post a complicated unique recipe that was clearly taken from someone like Ina Garten, that would be different, but I am sure PW is not "stealing" from church cookbooks so much as tweaking All American favorites which have been around for decades and no one cook can take credit for stuff like that. |
