I posted the rape links.
Made other arrangements not mentioned on this thread because you all just wanted to bash.
It's a really bad idea to suggest a single woman with a baby get rid of her car. ( for example: how the hell does she buy diapers? Pay the shipping premium? Have them left at the door in a shitty neighborhood? ) all the fees covering for not having a car out weigh the cost of a real car
NE DC is not safe. You people are delusional for those thoughts. Nor is living in an easily accessible basement apartment.
Your privilege really showed your ass on this thread.
Significantly disappointed in your antics and you all totally discredited yourselves.
Luckily, karma is a bitch and by the grave if God go all off you.
For the 1 Pp that tried to help thanks. My witholdings were totally wrong.

Grace of God all of you... But I'm sure some really smart person will correct my error anyway.

I mean seriously this is doable. Go talk to the apartment leasing agents - don't just go by websites.

In what part of DC is hyattsville?

I don't understand ... if anywhere you can afford in DC is unsafe (*) and you can't afford anything you want in DC ... why do you have to stay in DC? Is it the free pre-K? Is it the walkability/urban atmosphere?

Either you get the free pre-K in an area you don't really like or you're in an area you can't afford. Why not move out to Silver Spring, Rockville, Bowie, or even Annapolis/Frederick?

Or ... have you considered renting a TH with another single mother?

(*) I can at least understand where you're coming from. There's a higher level of crime in NE/SE -- on average -- than in NW, especially upper NW. Some on here are okay with it or even wear it as a badge of honor that their neighborhood is still rough around the edges. Or they live in a good block and don't understand it when someone moves to a bad block.

I haven't read the whole thread , but anyone who says that it is easy to find a one bedroom apartment in the DC area for $1500 doesn't know what they're talking about.

Most one-bedrooms in DC cost between 20oo and 2400. However, if you are in DC, you do not need a car. Get rid of it.

Why do you think you need a car just because you have a toddler? Plenty of people live in DC without cars, including people who have toddlers. You think you should not have to pay back loans that you owe just so you can have a car and the washer dryer in unit?

Legally can't go further. You are the first person to actually ask.
I found a sweet deal on a really great place.

Nobody cares. You're a nasty woman. People here tried to help you and you were awful to them. Take it somewhere else.
