| Double posting. Sorry I meant the apartments at Ft Totten station, though I'm sure they were in the minority. |
You have been told more than once that what you want to do, won't happen. People have come up with other helpful solutions. You don't like the answers so you complain. Simple, on point answer? You won't be able to get out of this through bankruptcy. There is no reason for it to be discharged because with a little rearranging of your finances you would be able to pay it. |
Yes, it's totally DC that is the problem and not your truculent attitude. Anyway, your question was asked and answered, right? I'm not quite sure why you'd post a question like this on a DISCUSSION board (where people discuss things) when apparently you were able to find the answer you sought through a simple google search. What did you waste your time, and our time, for? Since now you have the answer, good luck with your next steps. |

OP will be laughed out of bankruptcy court when she claims hardship due to lack of in-unit laundry and the inability to fully max out retirement savings.
|
| What part of DC do you work in? The apartment complex I live in is really nice (W/D in unit too) and they have 1BR from $1600 per month. |
|
wait, op really went to law school?
oh brother |
| Please post data about "too many rapes" in Brookland. this sounds highly suspect. |

Apartment for $1800 or less, walkable to grocery and restaurants, pool + gym, free shuttle to metro, two metros less than 1 mile away, and there's daycare nearby (two that I know of) that are centers and offer infant care for $1200 or less per month:
http://www.paletteapts.com/ I mean seriously this is doable. Go talk to the apartment leasing agents - don't just go by websites. |
This is a good option: because in this scenario, with this apartment you don't need a car. You can walk across the street to drop your child off at daycare at St Jerome's ($1100/mo-$1200/mo) or there's another one a 5 minute busride away called Heritage. Full time infant care there is $1000/month and they're a wonderful small center. You can do grocery shopping at Yes! Organic, and get rid of the car payment completely. |
| Where did OP go? I miss her excuses |
Maybe she finally called a bankruptcy attorney and he told her to suck it up and pay her bills. |
I posted the rape links. Made other arrangements not mentioned on this thread because you all just wanted to bash. It's a really bad idea to suggest a single woman with a baby get rid of her car. ( for example: how the hell does she buy diapers? Pay the shipping premium? Have them left at the door in a shitty neighborhood? ) all the fees covering for not having a car out weigh the cost of a real car NE DC is not safe. You people are delusional for those thoughts. Nor is living in an easily accessible basement apartment. Your privilege really showed your ass on this thread. Significantly disappointed in your antics and you all totally discredited yourselves. Luckily, karma is a bitch and by the grave if God go all off you. For the 1 Pp that tried to help thanks. My witholdings were totally wrong. |
