Grayson is horrible.

Would you have guessed these other names would make the Supreme Court?
Antonin
Sonia
Elena
Sandra
Thurgood
Abe

Others not on Court but on recent short lists:
Sidney
Martha
Deval
Leah
Janet
Sri
Harriet
Edith
Consuelo
Janice
Loretta

"Molly" doesn't seem out of place at all.

Anonymous wrote:Kai is the worst

There was a Kai at my DC's preschool. He was mouthy, obnoxious, and rude.

Well that proves it then.

Every Kai I have known has been the first born son of a Japanese mom/American dad. For a long time, EVERY couple like that I knew named their first born son that. It was really annoying. My brother (American) then married a Japanese woman and when she was pregnant with their son, I BEGGED him not to name the baby Kai (they didn't).

Two of my friends used this for their first born...one Ky and one Kai

I agree with the PP about Owen. It's just a nerdy name. As is Miles.

I just read through this entire thread and am happy to report that neither of my DC's names were on it.

And the fact is that when today's children are of an age to be considered for a court appointment, their contemporaries will probably not even blink at the possibility of a Kaylee or Brittany or DeShaun or Jesus. They will be far more comfortable with diversity of all kinds than their parents. I imagine plenty of our grandparents didn't expect Thurgood or Sandra or Ruth or Sonia. Many great grandparents would probably have been surprised by surnames of Kennedy, etc.
