Brown people are "persons of interest" by default.

What is a brown person? LOL. My Italian friends get really dark at the beach. Does that count?

This is not pertinent to this discussion nor is it appropriate in our country. I am as conservative as they come and I am appalled when I hear people make these types of comments. We are still a nation which purports to respect religious freedom and that includes Muslims. Please do not jump to conclusions about who instigated these attacks.

I didn't write this but I don't see anything in his statement about the Boston attack. He is still angry, as he should be, that we were attacked. The facts are, it was 12 Saud men that did it, and the extremists we fight are indeed Muslim. Truth is truth.

How is it okay at a time like this to jump to conclusions and think hateful things about an entire group of people because of some extremist?

Didn't Wolf Blitzer do this on CNN just an hour or so ago?

How do you explain that?

SOME extremist? BUt I do understand why you'd think there was only one. After all, Fort Hood was not a terrorist attack....

It is not okay to make this about ALL Muslims- you have a serious problem...

You can claim bigotry all you like. It does not change the fact that 9/11 was perpetrated by Muslim extremists. Actually, it's pretty ignorant for anyone to suggest otherwise.

What does your comment have to do with getting pissed when the PP sees a mosque??? What else is the connection aside fom pure ignorance and bigotry painting all Muslims as the same?

He's not doing that. Mosques remind him of extremist Muslims - not a far leap. I don't think you'll find them in Synagogues.

I don't understand the concept of a brown person. I do understand the concept of people on general and good and evil people.

If mosques trigger his hate, I would probably suggest therapy for post traumatic stress, because such vile anger and hate is not a healthy or normal reaction - any more than me feeling taken aback by any cross or church, as a Jewish person.

Could we PLEASE just get back to reporting news updates. I still have no idea if anyone I know was injured.

Please do not spew any hatred hear. I'm actually really scared for my Muslim friends. There's always some idiot who takes out rage on an innocent peace-loving person who just happens to be of the same faith as an extremist.

We do not know this was done by a Saudi Arabian national, all we know is someone has been detained.

Sweetie, put a cardigan over that exposed privilege of yours - it's indecent.

Stop your bickering, people, this is an awful day for Boston, and for all of us.

Agreed. But NO ONE has been detained. There's a brown guy in the hospital - that seems to be the only loose information. It means nothing. And if any of you actually spent time in Boston, you'd know that it was a frequent place for Saudi prices to rent and buy condos. It doesn't mean anything.

I have just blocked two posters, including this one, who have decided to use this thread as an opportunity to spread hatred toward Muslims. I assume they will find a way around the block and I'll deal with them again.
