I was just staring at that bank branch yesterday, thinking, God, I miss the Crow Bar.
And the GW Mr. Henry's. And the place that was in Kinkead's before it was Kinkead's. |
It's still around. We go to the one in Herndon. |
11:55 - early 90's too

Wow, good to know. I thought there was only one (on Duke Street, if I recall), and when it closed, it was gone. Did it just move to Herndon, or is there more than one? |
| Java Green. |
I went to the one in Annandale decades ago. Glad to know there is one out in Herndon. I hate driving so far, but it might be worth it. |
|
Looks like Herndon is only remaining location:

+1 -- god, how we miss it! and ditto to the Pleasant Peasant fans -- yummy and reliable. |
Really? I tried Thyme Square three times because I liked the concept, but the food was mediocre at best and the service was worse each time I went. Not surprised it is closed. I do have fond memories of the Pleasant Peasant, It was an Atlanta-based chain that tried to expand, but now only the Atlanta place remains in business. |
| La Miche in Bethesda. |
My first thought as well. TenPenh was awesome! I am still devastated. |
| Tap & Vine (in Arlington, in what appears to be a cursed restaurant space). |
| Hibiscus Cafe in G'town. SO sad when it was no longer. |
|
There is still an American Cafe in the Worldgate in Herndon. Looks like both it and Generous George are in Herndon.
I miss Tortilla Factory in Herndon. |
Hey I used to work at a Chi Chi's. They made a mean margarita, great salsa, and chimichangas. But I miss Tex-Mex food in general. |
