I met my future (and current) husband in a drunken stupor at Whitey's. YAY Whitey's! |
|
AV
Yanni's Greek in Cleveland park. |
| Vegetable garden in rockville |
My DH and I met at Whitey's also! |
And Samantha's in the alley too - don't remember exactly where it was b/c I was always drunk going there. |
Are you me? |
+1 |

Dr. Dreamo's for drinking
more recently, the Red Pearl up in Columbia for amazing Chinese (even better than the Rockville places) |
| Generous George's Positive Pizza & Pasta Place. |
|
Yes, Samantha's had an alley entrance but it also had a front door on L Street. It's Mackey's now and the inside is not much different. It's a popular lunch place still. I have no idea about night time activities.
Coppi's Clevland Park location. I loved that place. The Cajun place on K Street in Georgetown under the Whitehurst, what was that called, Magnolia or something? Belmont Cafe in Adams Morgan for brunch. Lauriol Plaza when it was in its original location at the corner of 18th and S. |
I loved the signs in the parking lot that read Parking for Whitey's Only, always gets a laugh by disbelievers. |
Errr, maybe nonbelievers? |
| As long as we've moved onto drinking establishments . . . The Crow Bar, from my days at GW. Babe's Billiards, too. |
| PP, are you my husband? I was just going to say the Crow Bar - he was the one at GW. And Babe's which we could walk to from my house. Or first date was at Buffalo which is thankfully still going strong. |
| Oh yeah - Crow Bar!! So many fuzzy memories coming back to me... |
