Dylan's parents had the wool over their eyes for a good number of years and they knew things were not as they appeared. But it was easier to believe their son was doing ok. They knew damn well he wasn't, in spite of the appearances.
Ms. Klebold worked at a university at the time. Maybe she thought that with her professional connections she would be able to get him counseling/support once he went away to college - If necessary. The Klebolds may have been concerned about stigmatizing their son by having his mental health issues diagnosed in HS. They obviously underestimated the severity of their son's issues.
They were keeping tabs on him through their social connections, the school. Someone would have said something to them if Dylan was going off the deep end, right?
