Don't like Paula Dean, Rachel Ray and Mary Ann Esposito.

LOL, Mary Esposito. Ugh, she grates my nerves. That voice, that voice. Thank God I don't have to live or work with her.

I love the combo of Christopher Kimball and Bridget Lancaster. And I'm crazy about Jaimie Oliver and Lidia Bastianich.

On my semi-hate list is the AA couple, I can't remember their names. They ooze sexual innuendo their entire show, it would be kinda cute if they inserted a little in every now and then, but no, they go way overboard without throughout the show. Paula Deen discovered them. I had watched Paula Deen's show always with awe at the amount of fat and sugar she was using and eating at the end of the episode. Enjoying browsing through her cookbooks. Really stopped watching her after the diabetes announcement.

Rachel Ray just can't stand her, she's so swap meet.

The Neelys. I can't stand them. When I first saw their show, I was excited about it. The AA take on Southern cooking was so missing from TV. They seemed nice, and we could use a good backyard, BBQ-oriented show -- with AA's, not Bobby Flay. (Not that there's anything wrong with Bobby--but we haven't heard from him since he got big).

But the Neelys are soooooooooo fake. Their constant enthusiasm and AA slang seem so forced and unnatural. I can't focus on the food because it's just so awkward and annoying listening to them talk.

Never heard of the Paula Deen connection, but that makes sense. Putting aside differences in racial style (and recent events), they're both just so darn fake and kitschy.

We could really use more AA cooking shows, just not these two.

I wonder if Boris Kodjoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw cook?

Who thinks the Food Network is racist in their current day to day practices?
The Paula lady said the wrong thing to her husband in 1987 about the brown man who held her up with a gun at the bank.

I like Jamie Oliver, but Lidia Bastianich seems so unpleasant. I just don't like her personality.

I had to google Boris Kodjoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. Both simply stunning looking, so maybe it would be asking too much that they could actually cook too.

Right. I was kind of joking. I just like to look at them.
They had a husband-and-wife detective show that lasted about 10 minutes on USA network. It was really awful. I blame the writing. I've seen them each act in other things, and they're not bad actors.

I really like Lidia... Then was SO DISAPPOINTED when I found out that arrogant ass of a judge on one of those Ramsey chef shows is her son!

LOL, shocked the hell out of me that Lidia's his mom. I don't believe he's an arrogant ass, it's probably just a tv persona. My kids and I are always eager to hear his criticisms and watch his facial expressions. He cracks us up. I saw him smile once and realized he's not a jerk.

Joe Bastianich? He's Mario Battali's partner in all of his restaurants.
I think Lidia may also have some kind of stake in some of them--not sure.

Apple doesn't fall far from the tree. She's got a huge ego.

I saw that show too. I agree with you; it was the writing.

Now both Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are coming out in support of Paula Deen.

Lidia got her hair "fixed." It looks great. It makes me wonder why Donald Trump hasn't tried something similar.

Does she have alopecia? I did notice her hair was different.

I would get a different swim teacher. When the weather is iffy mine calls us to get my feeling if we should have lesson (my daughter is 3.5).

Isn't that why you have private lessons?
